Thank you so much for the kind words! I really try to balance film making and education, so it means a lot to hear that it resonates with you. Clear skies and happy shooting!
Brilliant video Tim. My introduction to astrophotography was with moon photography. I enjoy the detailed shots, but lately I have been enjoying, photographing the moon with clouds or during dawn or at dusk, it adds so much character to an image.
Thank you so much! It's amazing how the Moon can be such a versatile subject. I completely agree - adding clouds, dawn, or dusk really brings a whole new vibe to the image. It's like telling a story with each shot. Keep enjoying those moody captures, and clear skies to you!
After the LR settings, just right-click and select "Edit in Photoshop", it will create a TIFF for you when you save the image, and it will be recognized by LR, also, LR is excellent for exporting the images to JPG.
Lovely shot! I've tried this a few times. Getting clouds that are just right can be an issue - too thick, and the moon loses a lot of detail. Another suggestion is to add an inexpensive star tracker to keep the moon from drifting between shots.
You're right; timing is critical for capturing a shot like this to achieve the perfect amount of clouds. I see great potential for moody moon shots. A tracker could be beneficial, perhaps something like a Skywatcher Star Adventurer with a counterweight. My setup is a bit too heavy for that, but an equatorial mount would work. Thanks for your comment!
@@CosmicCaptures For sure. And I use my Star Adventurer with my a7IV or a6300 with the 200-600mm G + 2x teleconverter all the time. At 1200mm, it really helps to have the tracker.
Thank you for the kind words! I'm glad you learned something new - that's exactly why I make these videos. And yes, I'm slowly building up here on the channel. Thank you for supporting :) Clear skies to you!
Very great and useful video!
Dude, your production quality is fantastic. Great video.
Thanks @bbroastro 😊
What makes your Videos great is the combination of great film making and educational content. There are no other Astro channels that do it like you.

At du kun har 2K+ følger er skørt?! Og tak for at vise et alternativ til måne fotografering. Der lærte jeg omsider noget nyt og tak for det Tim ❤
