It's amazing that the song she is singing in this video was completely improvised. She had to relearn the song in order to record it for her cd. So imagine if this video was never taken. Then the only ones to enjoy this music would have been the people standing around her that day.
9 Dislikes? are you people for real? beasts maybe? No human with soul and heart would even realize dislike and this magical piece intersect together. good lord.. the way she's sitting, the her beautiful face, the harp.. and her godly fingers running on the harp... the incredible and soothing voice... my lord!
Wow, totally amazing from her website, it is evident that the light of sufi is radiating from her. God Bless and greetings of peace (salam) to you and all your viewers
Is she an angel from the heaven or a bird from the forest disguised as a pretty woman? Such a melodious voice to match with the harmonious codes of the harp blended together that makes a heartfelt rendition!
I've watched this video like about 20 times already over the past week.. I've heard nothing like this ever before, I'm defnitly buying this CD as soon as I get pay.
Honestly, this brought me to tears. I'm glad these kinds of videos exist because I really dislike radio/media/mainstream music that are blatantly direct to teenagers these days.
@FlatMattress Odysseus was curious to what the sirens song sounded like. So Circe gave him the idea to have all his sailors plug their ears with beeswax and tie him to the mast of the ship. He told his crewmen to not untie him no matter how loud begged and screamed. So, just as he knew would happen, he heard the beautiful song and ordered the sailors to unite him but they bound him even tighter. They passed and because sadness filled Odysseus's face.. the crew knew they could untie him.
@lumalive Nay, nay.She is a but a human blessed with a voice blending with the sweetest of chimes and the wind's cries. A voice to make sirens swoon and angels rejoice with a silent cry or a lullaby. Yes indeed she is human, but her voice is much more.
@FlatMattress If you read her bio on her website, she improvised the song as shown above, and later had to learn it for the CD. I haven't heard her CD... I think it is a little pricey being 20 Euros plus shipping.
HARP FACT* the ultimate fate of all harps is destruction,the incredible tension involved ends in the catastrophic implosion or failure of said structure,the beauty of the temporality
@warhawkjah deff a mirror. Same person in the beginning of both videos and the pegs for the strings are shown in both videos even though one side would have no pegs, since they are only on one side on a harp.
I lived in germany for 8 years and went to most of the concert offered in the music institut by the hundreds of student and never heared anything similar. It is not a northern music what ever you say and it is not a northern instrument either . This instrument is very old and was used by many cultures. You are the one who thinks that arabic music has to cling like "arabesek" style. learn about the suffi music and u will understand me better.
@eaglesgogirl Check for 'Beautiful girl singing in Strasbourg' by user sternbeisser. You'll see the exact same video but mirrored. Maybe that's the original take.
@BlacksmithRS actually no! the person in the back is the same one,you can tell by the clothes. so someone of the two users stole it and just mirrored it to look different
@antpop1 what is on her CD isn't identical to this. Something about this has a quality to it that I feel wasn't translated to the CD. It's sad to say really :C

This is what I'm looking for.Her voice is like a melting gold.
This is from heaven and middle earth...it make me yearn for time lost, and love to be found.

she cries for forgiveness from the almighty father. sometimes beautiful angels fall from the top.
So wonderful. Is she singing in French? She reminds me of a woman in the 1940s. So captivating.
БОЖЕСТВЕННО !!!!!!!!!!!!!
@ShahnamPersia It is stated on her website as she discusses her artistic style.
HARP FACT* the ultimate fate of all harps is destruction,the incredible tension involved ends in the catastrophic implosion or failure of said structure,the beauty of the temporality

@warhawkjah deff a mirror. Same person in the beginning of both videos and the pegs for the strings are shown in both videos even though one side would have no pegs, since they are only on one side on a harp.
hahaha. "Celtic Woman Fairy Singing" hilarious title, pretty accurate though
@pestilento1 this song is called "o habibi"
It' is probabily arab language so.
@antpop1 .. and think about all those street concerts that were not recorded.. like beautiful shooting stars never to be seen again..
My grandma said she was speaking the language that my family is, Alsatian.
It seems this beautiful song isn't a present to us from the paganic times. La viva! youg girl.
she speaks my native language.
I was freaking crying...
same as another video but from a different angle. Her voice is good even in open air

@FlatMattress
Sirens in mythology lured sailors to their deaths with their beautiful singing. Hence, the tied-up man trying to get to the singer.
In some of her song you can recognise clearly words from arabic and persian languages used by suffis.

@BlacksmithRS its actually the same footage, just flipped
This is what Odysseus heard as he screamed for his crewmen to untie him.
@BlacksmithRS
actually no! the person in the back is the same one,you can tell by the clothes.
so someone of the two users stole it and just mirrored it to look different
@eaglesgogirl
maybe she just decided to play on the left shoulder, as some guitarists play left handed, because they feel more comfortable about it :)
Notice how her ears are conveniently covered? she is an ELF! but what a beautiful elf...hmmm...you can lead me to your forest anytime O_o
@doctorich I am sure her husband and two children would be delighted to know this! She is also Muslim so you might want to know that.
