- SCP-1504 is a Keter Class anomaly also known as Joe Schmo.
SCP 1504 is an unremarkable man whose anomalous traits include his inability to be harmed or killed. So then why is SCP1504 so dangerous to the SCP Foundation? For what it's worth, I think that Joe will be happy when he's caught and locked up. At last, at long, long last, someone has noticed him and is treating him as something other than... *nobody* .
FWIW, I personally think that SCP1504 and other 'amnesiac' anomalies may be synthetic in nature. Intelligent and aware enough to have a sense of 'I am...' but having never had the right social influences and other experiences to answer the question of *who* they are.

The other point not gone into here, is the fact that his ability to go unnoticed seems to grow the longer he remains somewhere, affecting his surrounding. As mentioned, the Foundation basically forgot the site where Joe was being contained even existed. Their reports and calls for aid went ignored until it was too late.
Pretty sure he helped design his cell and lives in it. He gives the training on perception shifts, but no one’s picked up on it yet

That, and he's more or less unreliably insane; driven mad by no one actually noticing him, or, when they do, they won't correctly interpret what he says or does. It's almost like being invisible and unable to turn it off. The isolation even in crowded rooms would wear on anyone, and Joe has descended into psychopathy.

Here's an idea: Why don't you put a helmet on to talk to joe that allows you to notice him the same way that the special cognitohazard camera noticed him?
This way, he'll be happy that people noticed him, and he might be a ok guy
You do realize that requires them knowing how his powers work, right? Which means capture him again, and try and get him to communicate around his cognito abilities?
Adding onto the first, he isn't a decent guy. He kidnapped and locked him up because he thought he could understand him. He himself says he lacks any empathy and goodwill due to his condition. If they manage to work around his ability they'll still have the problem of what is basically a homicidal psychopath
@@zen0vi The source of his aggressive behavior is clearly his anomalous property, if we could nullify that for some period of time then it would be extremely easy for the foundation to help him recover, given that they're able to make so many personnel recover after witnessing eldritch horrors or going insane.

This is touching and wholesome. Plus they could make his stay in his cell into a nice suite-like situation. Imagine treating it almost like pampering a guest you're not aware of. In fact he could write requests via handwritten notes, be given access to a computer for entertainment, and a couple of staff can be penpals to maintain his feelings.

Imagine if they were able to communicate to "Joe" that they have devised a way to know what he's saying. If they gave evidence of this (like the real transcript of his interview), he might submit to containment in exchange for being able to talk and interact with someone, even if they do need some apparatus to filter out his anomalous properties.
I like how the infographics show the “top secret” stamp on Joe’s file, but end up explaining everything in it.

I think his actual ability other than his invulnerability is that he can disrupt electrical fields, including the ones in the brain making everyone more passive and forgetful as if in a dream-like state. Maybe using people who can lucid dream can produce results.

This is the most underrated Keter SCP in the whole canon. He's also my favorite and the first video I watched about SCPs that got me interested
Jesus. Sounds like me in highschool lol. My nickname was "That Kid". Cool and friendly enough to remember my face. But never close enough that they bothered to remember my name or pick me out of a large crowd. Could walk in and out of almost every circle or clique of kids at will. Remember the dead missing guards in the beginning?
Instead of saying he can interfere with electrical systems, who's to say 1504 didnt just convince then to open the containment doors and then to kill themselves? Makes much more sense imo, if the author ever reads this.
Maybe - I think it’s more likely that he got loose multiple times, from the time the anomalies at the facility started happening, and caused them all himself. No one realizes this or remembers, because he is so unmemorable. He could have taken access cards, wandered around and learned by watching personnel how the doors in the facility worked, and then he could do anything. I think the “anomalies” were all caused by his attempts to be noticed, becoming more and more drastic.
One thing about his abilities seems (to me) to be - the more time he spends in a single location, the less memorable he is. Maybe it’s also based on proximity to his location. The guards would have been more susceptible than the researcher since they were patrolling the halls, closer to his cell.
Maybe also based on how much interaction you have with him? The researcher had spent the most time with him, and so had more memories of him, which were retained, and he was able to piece together his theory and write it down and safeguard it.
Just my first thoughts and impressions after watching the video & reading your comment. I bet there are more ways to try to explain him, which is part of why he’s so intriguing to me.
Another thing I just remembered:
The Foundation started to forget about the containment facility. They quit sending supplies, ignored requests for more supplies & personnel. That may mean that the longer Joe stays in one place, the people and location he’s in start to be affected by his anomaly, too.

If the other scps break out that could destroy the planet, they will always forget 1 man who will lead to an almost endless battle where he always wins, due to his invincibility. People may say other scps also have this invincibility, but they have reason to there immortality, saying they can die if you do it right. But mr. Joe just has it straight forward. Hes invincible. Also if something's on the verge of killing him and it blinks, they could forget he ever existed. He may be the most powerful scp. Could this mean he can look at 096 and it forgets he ever saw him? Who knows.

As a researcher I propose the following;
Clearly we can understand him better after running his interviews through perceptions cleaners, and he seems to be in great psychological distress. His hostility to the foundation and life seems to be due to his anomalous properties.
Therefore we should host more interviews with him, explaining we can now communicate with him without ignoring him, however it'd have to be separated by filters during recordings.
Basic communication and interactions like so will help ease the entity's psychological stressors, allowing him to both calm down and embrace our help. He doesn't want to come back to us unless we can help him. So now we propose in public spaces to help him, and he can work for us as a researcher, after we expose him to the history rewriting scp.

But how exactly did the foundation doctor became aware of 1504's true anomaly when everyone who interacts with Joe Schmo is affected by his power and ignore him?
The Foundation replayed the interview video through anti-anomaly filters but how did the doctor do it?
He probably just put the pieces together after everything went crazy the moment he came into the building
Also, I think because the doctor interacted with him the most, he had the most memories of him, and so somehow he was able to retain them and piece together his theory, write it down and safeguard it.
I also suspect that he may have also, after his initial contact, been in least proximity to him, at least compared to the guards who would be patrolling the halls constantly, and going near his cell on a regular basis.

There's a really weird separation in the story. 4 lvl 3 personnel are to guard the room of scp 1504 and have keycards of that level only unlocking when used at the same time... But moments later, the locks are not digital rather, they are mechanical locks. How do keycards and opening it at the same time matter? Scp1504 can destroy electronic systems
Then the story started saying "further tests are being conducted" but the story specifically said that they currently do not have scp1504 in the site. They only have predicted measures for when scp1504 was recontained.
How'd they know that a specific gas can neutralize it? They only had the dude once, and that site was nuked by a fail-safe. All documentations of scp1504 was told to us, is nowhere to be seen. Only the interview video and hand written note in a safe/vault was the surviving records of scp1504.
There are many pieces not falling into place just yet. But I do like the concept of this scp. The story could use peer to peer reviews so the story writer can spot out the same inconsistencies as I have.
Because he himself is probably there.
When they finally recontain him, and he find out he can actually be understood now, he'll probably have so much stress relieved.. we need a video on this of he gets captured in the fandom thingy what ever its called
