I think if we believe in God, he made the world because he had so much power and different kinds of energies which he used to create different kinds of creatures, Galaxies and this beautiful nature etc. And in all creatures human being is wisest creatures who can observe and understand the the creation of God deeply. If he try to know, and uses his brain. He can feel the existence of God, the supreme power.
Buddhism says there is no soul, And Geeta which is said to be narrated by Lord Krishna himself says "Soul is immortal"- (which appears to be believing the concept of soul). Considering the fact Lord Buddha and Krishna are dashavtars of Lord Vishnu. Why will the same person (lord vishnu) will have two different concepts about the same question i.e. SOUL or Conscience? I'll be enlightened if someone can comment on this.

Goutam budda was born Lumbini near Nepal. Another budda was in Hindu puranas . He was one of lord Vishnu ten avataras.
