The was a beautiful cut with the perfect length👍this is healthy head of hair somebody has been taking care of that head at home are something 😉cudos to the hair stylist😁
I am so afraid to get my hair lifted to color because of the bad experience I had with a stylist. She left my mind in a negative light with stylist who don't what their doing. All stylist are not bad and know what they are doing. I will tell you though, I'm afraid of that color and relaxers. So I'm okay with my natural hair. Had no issues there. But I am loving her color.
I love your work! I’m an upcoming cosmetologist and I’ve def gained so much knowledge from watching your videos. Question..so I know you stated you shampooed her hair prior to the color application. How were you able to do that? Isn’t the matrix color you used a permanent color and requires you to neutralize after? What would be the shampoo process if you’re using a permanent color and semi permanent in one application?
🙂Hello there and best of luck on your journey! I applied her root color first with permanent color, shampooed and blow dried (no conditioner or treatments), then applied the semi permanent color, rinsed only and then conditioned. Remember semi permanent only rests on the outside of the cuticle without any molecular changes, therefore many brands will require applying when dry and sealing with a cool thorough rinse to increase longevity. Pro Tip: sometimes if the hair is full of product or simply not clean you can prep the hair by doing a light shampoo first before the color service. Being mindful to not scratch the scalp as this will cause irritation if using Demi or permanent color. Hope this helps 💖
When I use anything over 400 my hair holds a burnt smell, even with thermal protectant. I use bio silk or chi. How can I avoid that? What a gorgeous Bob and color, you did an amazing job! I can’t wait to get that Kenra spray.
It could be many things. Always clean your iron in between uses to rid old product because this can easily contribute to a burnt smell. You may need to adjust the amount of product you're using and your flat iron technique too. Or you can lower your iron! Hope this helps 💫🙂
Do you have any brands you recommend to care for color treated natural hair? Natural and organic would prefer but you have any good recommendations i will take it
You had a lot of crimps in the hair when you bumped it. When using hairspray before curling, you have to be sure to mss as me only one smooth pass and bump at the end. And bend too early or slip or if the iron doesn’t glide will cause crimps which happened several times here.
Her hair is absolutely gorgeous I love the color so much.
