That is so pretty, but 1000+ ,😲 that's crazy. I couldn't imagine how long the retightening would take. By time your done you'd be starting all over again.

I admire your dedication. As a Sisterlock wearer I’m hoping you don’t find the maintenance/retightenings to be too burdensome. I think your locks look beautiful!
Hi, I’m interested in sisterlocks but concerned about the retightening time. Do you think it is burdensome?
Truth Seeker If you do it by yourself it may be time consuming but you can break it up over a few days. No need to overwhelm yourself. I go to a loctician and she gets me done in about 1.5 hours. When I was doing it myself my retightening would take about 8 hours. There were times I did it in one day and times I broke it up over a few days. I think it’s always good to know how to do your own hair. Don’t let the retightening time dissuade you. The hair freedom is worth it.

I have locs that are small enough to be considered microlocs, yet large enough to safely retwist without breaking. This method of using a phone app to see the back of my head may prompt me to go back to interlocking, because being unable to see the back properly has hindered me from doing that.

Girl you got the patient of job I've never had a desire to count mine I just know it's a lot I'll leave that up to Jesus he knows the numbers of hairs on my head so that's all that matters lol.

Good idea about the mirror app when parting the back of the head. I'm getting a cell phone stand and have downloaded the app for my first retwist. You have a new subscriber that will be following your progress as my micrlocs grow and mature.
Just wanted to add that I downloaded the AirDroid app. It worked like a charm. All I need now is a cell phone stand from Walmart for 9.99. just need to wait a few weeks for my retwist and I'm all set. Thanks again.

I'm trying to decide what kind of locsI wat and I stumble on your channel. This process was INSANE! While I could NEVER do this myself, I comment you for spending 2 weeks on this. Beautiful! I’m considering micro locks. I’ve had traditional locks in the past, but I think I like this much better.

They look awesome. Keep us updated. I think i will start mine this way then interlock the roots after six weeks. I paid someone before to do them using the interlock method but he ended up combining locs on the roots so i undid them which was stressful. So for now, i will choose this version which is cheaper as well. Btw. Will u be banding the hair when washing? Will u continue twisting when maintaining them or use the interlock method?

I absolutely love this video! 😅 I keep coming back and re-watching it! I actually made a similar mistake myself, where I put 860 mini braids in my natural hair.

Do you know what size parting you did?
I didn't follow the size chart, I was going with the thickness of the strands and how I envisioned the size to look like, some strands of my hair are thicker some are thin, so I just took that into consideration.
