I am impressed with anyone who does portraits in watercolor and really uses the medium to its highest potential. THIS is portrait painting with watercolor.

Incredible colour choices, the green and reds are colours I would never have chosen, but now that I've seen the possibilities, may use in my own art some time in the future. Have learnt *so* much from this video. Absolutely brilliant!

Wow. Words could not decribe how in awe I am of your work. I love not only how well you control your medium and the mastery you show both in your color choices and molding of the face. I had no idea how he was going to pull of the giant patch of green on the forehead, or his bold choice of reds for the shadow. Watching it come together so quickly was just incredible.

Very nice work.
Oil is forgiving, as is acrylic to a point. Rendering with water color though, is a bitch!

It is even easier in watercolor to paint older people with beards!
White paint is not accepted in transparent watercolor so for white beard it is the white of a watercolor paper that is left mostly white with some light values of color.
