I firmly believe, Universal studios came up with the amusement park ride first, and then the movie was basically a sales pitch for the amusement park. THAT RIDE WAS STILL GOING STRONG IN 2012!
It's classic but it goes to show the format that Opie goes for so hard seems counterintuitive, like his idea of a good show is not if it's funny or interesting, it's if it hits the beats, all satisfactions of control, because Jim and Anthony were audibly getting tired of this bit, like the clips are not necessary at all, but Opie had to constantly hand hold his audience that didn't ask

I had to laugh when they were mocking the movie characters' over-the-top reactions to the tornado and saying "Nobody acts like that." Obviously Opie and Anthony have never seen a Reed Timmer storm chasing video.
Twister is one of those movies you think is really cool as a kid because of the special effects, then you watch it again as a adult and you realize that it’s a movie only a child could enjoy

What could happen? Get in and get as far away from the door as possible. Lol.
I really enjoyed Twister. Sure there were some very cheesy moments but it was a fun movie. The way they rip this movie apart though is hilarious as hell. Imagine if the guys were still doing radio today and found out a sequel called Twisters is coming out in summer 2024 😂😂😂😂

What's funny is that back in 1996, a couple months before Twister came out, a tv movie called 'Night of the Twisters' came out and some associate this movie to Twister. There's no connection between movies whatsoever besides the tornadoes lol

I watched this movie with him when it was on Pay-Per-View back when it came out…they showed Bill Pullman look up at the sky & he can sense barometric pressure changes & all this shit, then the Dorothy scene & he said “all the information they were claiming those sensors give them, they had the ability to detect in the 1960s & 1970s…those laptops were showing recorded video of full screen radar views shown from the weather channel or a news broadcasts…this entire premise is stupid…his ex-wife’s looking for vengeance from a deadly force of nature, we live in Boston/MetroWest, we get blizzards here…
At one point in the movie, Helen Hunt’s mother says something like “You gotta get out there and fight this thing”. It’s a fucking tornado.
