Don’t worry about the “redundant” thing! As a Floridian who moved to Seattle I love watching your videos and pretending I’m back in the keys for a few minutes. Spear fishing in the keys is an amazing adventure and a privilege I hope any outdoors/water-sports lover will get the chance to do. The videos aren’t redundant, each one is another beautiful exploration. I greatly appreciate you taking the time to share it with us!

It is amazing how the water is as smooth as glass and as the sun rises you start to see the ripples from the wind begin. I told my kids (22 and 19 now) years ago that my vision of heaven on earth is cruising across Biscayne Bay, water smooth as glass, and dolphins feeding. I will always have that experience for as long as I live.

Aaron, I’m enjoying watching you doing a splendid job of representing, today’s Charter Captains and those on the beach. As a Plumber,I spent quite a bit of time in Key West, Big Pine Key and Marathon and I could not have asked for a better place to be. I usually stay at Amy’s Slates but that because it’s a wee bit closer. My credentials are, USCG Lic, Divemaster and Ex-DAN instructor but as of four years ago, I had a stroke, ending my diving day’s, well not really, You are my Digital Dive Buddy and I like being onboard! Your love for the Sea is outstanding…..Safe dives and don’t change a thing….say Hi to Paddlin!

Later, while hung up... her laugh is so contagious. Such a sweetie, I miss those gorgeous flat water days in The Keys. 20 years in Alaska is too much. Hoping to spend more time south. I miss the "smell" of shallow, warm water.

I only ever fished water that calm once before in my 75 years. It was off Conway, North Wales in 1979 at the height of the heat wave. The water was crystal clear and 90ft deep at the edge of a much deeper hole. The fishing was absolutely epic and we were fishing a competituve match. Who cares who won, we were fourth I believe, as the haul was enough to fill our freezers, the fire station freezer and the freezer of every guy on duty there when we got back. The engine room stunk of fish for weeks after. Never seen conditions like it since.

My fav way to cook corn: leave husks on the corn, soak them in cold water for 30 mins, tossem' on the hot bbq. About 15 mins, when the husks are getting charred up a bit, peel them off (careful when u first pull the top open, hot steam will get you) and finish the corn on the grill, turning just when they start getting brown and pop here and there. Butter those babies up (or olive oil), salt and enjoy 😎
