i didn't realise it was a year ago that i made the comment about how good matt is,but i'd recommend all to watch him play "pretty visitors" live off the Humbug album, another fantastic performance
@davyro66 his beats dont SOUND hard at first, but once you start listening to all the small intricate details and you try doing them yourself, you realize how fucking good he is
@00simplegratuit00 agreed I'm a drummer and I know that bands need bassists more than one might think and we drummers are thankful for what u bassists do
cannot fathom how they play this so fast live. thought the drums were ridiculous - well the guitar actually is too. no idea how alex plays and sings the 'theres nothing that you couldnt slip through' part
@yosoyelbebe agreeeed...for example, This song is mainly an endurance issue if anything...this is an easy beat...But the 16ths would kill me if I was in front of hundreds...
@straitaheadjazz Youll actually find the majority of covers on youtube of this song to be pretty wrong. The tom groove is a lot more complex than many people play it.
Pause it at 0:26, Check the TRACKIES!!, still that drummer is amazing and he actually looks like a proper ned/chav. not saying that in a bad way but he is actually IMMENCE!!!
helders, tong is a bit more repetitive, hes more odd and a bit of a spaz in where he places rhythms which is cool but hes inconsistent and often out of time live. matt plays with more dynamics and personally i think hes more creative. love them both though!
him and dom howard rarely play a straight rock beat. they are always flexing their creative muscles. they play what fits the song. and yes im a drummer.
@Geohoundnl Well, yeah, that's why it's hard. Coming from a long term guitarist, I think the drums are way tougher than the guitarwork on this track. If you develop an average sense of rhythm, it's pretty easy to play the guitars in this. The band staying tight is the hardest thing of all though. The drums are pretty much as tough as you're likely to ever hear in garage rock/indie genre (so any comparisons to Neil Peart and the like are a bit unfair).
@yosoyelbebe the fact that they are fast dont mean that they are difficult .. if you were a good drummer you should know that fast dont mean difficult .. !!
dude, this song is all about the drums
You know your band is the fucking truth when a crowd of more than 300,000 people sings along to the intro of your song.
gonna play this song with my band this saturday. ITs gonna be awesome!
'this is it! this is it ladies and gentleman. This is our rehearsal!'
he is amazing! matt and tre are like same. both are gods
I love the way they shout “thunder!”
i didn't realise it was a year ago that i made the comment about how good matt is,but i'd recommend all to watch him play "pretty visitors" live off the Humbug album, another fantastic performance
Totally agree, that's why is so fun playing them
@davyro66 his beats dont SOUND hard at first, but once you start listening to all the small intricate details and you try doing them yourself, you realize how fucking good he is
What's amazing is that I realise now that they have even more hard songs to play on drum O_O
Amazing crowd made a REALLY EPIC intro!!!
They sound so good live
everybody who plays drums comments how hard the artic's songs are to do,proving how good matt is
Their awesome!!!
OMG!! If I could play my drums like that...I would think I had died and gone to heaven :)
i got goosebumps
i love the little thing alex does at 1.09, likes hes saying 'lets have it!'
The only band that would headline Glastonbury with tracksuit...and not even the expensive one.
BRAYAN! TOP MONKS FOR NOT TRYIN'!
thank you, now my mother thinks i'm crazy, she saw me having an eargasm
@MrPocketGroover i think its the speed of their songs that can throw people. like brianstorm for example. brutal
@00simplegratuit00 agreed I'm a drummer and I know that bands need bassists more than one might think and we drummers are thankful for what u bassists do
Fucking love the drums in this.
Imagine the baby that Matt Helders and Matt Greiner would produce.
เทพพพพพพพพพพพพพพพพพ

頭を振りたくなる
AWESOME
I know, but I hear him singin' "MONKS"!

Nathan is quality on drums, but so is Matt :D
IN YOUR FACE, GLASTONBURY!
@Ninjamonkeydrummer what you didnt see were the 50 cans of red bull he needed to play the drums for this song!
Drummer MAtt and Bass guitar player Andy is dead after this song! Majestic! Incredble! Completely hard to play or sing this song.
AGILE BEAST!!!
IVE GOT BLISTERS ON ME SPEAKERSSS!!!!!
It's: Brian, top marks for not tryin. :D
cannot fathom how they play this so fast live. thought the drums were ridiculous - well the guitar actually is too. no idea how alex plays and sings the 'theres nothing that you couldnt slip through' part
@TheFreqBoy lol not really depends how much you try it ? this was my first song to play on drums cause this song got me into drums lol
@yosoyelbebe agreeeed...for example, This song is mainly an endurance issue if anything...this is an easy beat...But the 16ths would kill me if I was in front of hundreds...
@TheEddster I think it's the name Matt.... Atte. Matt sorum... jejeje
@straitaheadjazz Youll actually find the majority of covers on youtube of this song to be pretty wrong. The tom groove is a lot more complex than many people play it.
What big biceps Matt has!
Pause it at 0:26, Check the TRACKIES!!, still that drummer is amazing and he actually looks like a proper ned/chav. not saying that in a bad way but he is actually IMMENCE!!!
Ultimate question, battle of the Matts. Who is better, Tong or Helders?
I personally think Tong.
helders, tong is a bit more repetitive, hes more odd and a bit of a spaz in where he places rhythms which is cool but hes inconsistent and often out of time live. matt plays with more dynamics and personally i think hes more creative. love them both though!
Mostly Indie yes. Some elements of Post Punk too
fuck... i wish i was there...
thumbs up who else was searching for video with Brainstorm at Glastonbury
Why is everyone saying the drum beat is tough to play?
It's pretty straight forward once you break it down.
him and dom howard rarely play a straight rock beat. they are always flexing their creative muscles. they play what fits the song. and yes im a drummer.
I dunno man some of the stuff including syncapation between the toms and bass drum are hard to get down:) netherthelss matt is awesome hah!
oh where did they go
@yosoyelbebe yeah but you can't deny he's a good drummer
@Geohoundnl Well, yeah, that's why it's hard. Coming from a long term guitarist, I think the drums are way tougher than the guitarwork on this track. If you develop an average sense of rhythm, it's pretty easy to play the guitars in this. The band staying tight is the hardest thing of all though.
The drums are pretty much as tough as you're likely to ever hear in garage rock/indie genre (so any comparisons to Neil Peart and the like are a bit unfair).
@davyro66 thats why everyone covers it on drums with ease?
The drummer is fucking cool =D
I bet the strobe lights make this ten times harder to play on guitar
@SamYeahTotally...just look at carter beauford and stewad copeland!
@drunkonmilk87 Haha true! xD but believe it or not on my channel i have a video of me playing this song on the drums :P be sure to check it out ;)
@TheEddster Named Matt.
no recent comments? 🥺
on one hand good drummer means technique and if you can't get that speed while playing you'll be ever limited
Am i the only one why doesnt think the drums are hard? They just make you damn tired. Besides, you gotta love the guitarwork.
@TheEddster and it would be called Matt..........with drum sticks
endurance shouldnt be an issue if your technique's right x
depends, reaching for the cymbals is the most taxing aspect imo
Matt Helders = Beast
@yosoyelbebe the fact that they are fast dont mean that they are difficult .. if you were a good drummer you should know that fast dont mean difficult .. !!
@TheEddster nahh, it'd be the rev.
@CheezeyWeezey yeah it's not EPIC HARD.but you have to admit,he IS good.
This song is tough bitch to play on drums!
Bellamy ;)
@nobledb1023 derp
no mames ese pinche alex turner es muy bien vergas
@sufyan32 No.
no they consider mostly considered indie
@davyro66 He's average really. Have a look at Niel Pert or George Kolias
Well, can you name some of the drummers? Ofc, theres like Keith Moon, but who are you thinking of?
THIS IS NOT A COVER OF BECK MONGOLIAN CHOP SQUAD!
no you're right hes basic but it fits the style and he plays with energy
@thejohno123 nop
haha 0:19 2 cans of strongbow
being a guitar player and all, i gotta ask. are their songs really that difficult on drums?
is there any other instruments in this band apart from drums people? just asking..
I suck at this song on drums!!
i mean dude i play drums, the songs are really difficult to cover and it depends how good u are at drums.
Mike Portnoy FTW!
3 people think it's Brainstorm.
no they are indie
Ответить на это видео...
i can not say the same thing about bass and guitars.
i play the drums, this song isnt that hard, but the endurance u need is rediculous
what are drums?
240p....we meet again...
doesn't that make it hard?
Not even close dude from King Crimson hands down or Keith Moon
Actually, the drumming is not that hard in their songs. The problem is that this son of a bitch NEVER GETS TIRED!!
it is to play it accurately though, matt doesnt make it easy for himself - especially getting to the cymbals
si yo estubiera ahi, saltaria como un mono y estaria re loco los pechofrios del campo me dan lastima en el video.
alex, jamie and nick...cant barely keep up to matt's drumming.
If you r a real drummer i mean a really good drummer hardly no song is hard.
Yeah but that's not what he's saying...
