The whale tail has been removed and the turn signals n the bars . Ow I’m ready for the 14 tooth sprocket . But if you caN give me the info on the turn signal relay brick lol thank u
2:14 you're also sacrificing legality as dot requires turn signals to be a certain distance apart and the integrated signals don't meet thst requirement. Just fyi. Also I'd avoid the cheapy integrated tailights as they tend to be dimmer than stock with isn't good..
I hope you see this comment!! I just got the same exact grom and watching your videos and how you walk through how to maintain the grom has inspired me so much more to just keep building and working on my grom, it’s got a 180cc big bore, yoshi exhaust, dynojet power commander, cam and clutch springs, and I just installed my new bars, and flush turn signals!! Installing shorty levers for my next video!! Keep up the good work #CtGrommerSquad
Brandon Morehead ahh bro I’m so glad you’re enjoying the content! Sounds like your Grom looks great, and is built and fast!! How can I see a pic of it?! Thanks so much for the comment!
One thing with the fender eliminator: if you commute in the rain like me, be prepared for a lot of splash on your back and helmet. Sucks but I still have the fender eliminator cause it looks nicer imo.
This is a very good point I should've brought up! I never ride in the rain so I don't have the problem, but yes. That fender is essential for stopping the water fling in the rain!
I personally don't like the way it looks. I ended up taking an old plastic trash can, cut out a rectangle about as wide as the license plate, and attached it to the licence plate when It rained. Worked perfectly
You say, "got to keep it legal" by putting on the license plate light, put technically the integrated tail light is illegal for turn signals, if the turn signals need to be at least 9 in apart from one another. I do agree with you though it looks much better they have the integrated! ✝️
Jason Turner you’re 100% right about the integrated lights. I’ll just call it a gray area- I guess I could argue that “at least I have the signals..” we’ll see how far that gets me! Thanks for commenting!
Another cool video bud! Moving to Fresno next week, we need to go for a ride soon. Got my fender eliminator tiny led turn signals led headlight and bilet adjustable levers on. Soon I will install my steel braided brake lines and new exhaust all before my second payment 😆
I got my grom last month to learn on and didn’t realize I’d get bored with the power so fast lol. I’m literally on the edge of potentially getting an s1000rr before the winter to cure this 😂
Vader Walks whatever floats your boat- For whatever reason, it seems like some guys buy these groms and think it’s going to be fast. It’s a goofy little goon around cruise around town with your friends bike. It’s not a knock your socks off rocket ship. Well I hope you find something you enjoy more!
@@CTGromer Nah I knew it wasn't super fast it's just that I didn't think it would wear off that fast. First time I hit 34mph on it I thought I was doing like 80 and I was scared to lean into turns lmao. It's a good confidence booster for new riders like myself though
Vader Walks it definitely is scary to lean in on those turns on the Grom. You’re very upright compared to a sport bike. Some new tires on the Grom such as some Michelin power pures help ALOT in this department.
Great video my only thing I see on all grom turn signal swaps (for the front at least) is that you can’t retain the running lights after replacing the resister. How could we fix this?
That is a great question, and an observation that I made as well. Probably a better/more expensive relay? I'd have to look into this. Thanks for commenting!
I've personally seen one go 15,000 miles - a guy here in our local squad has that on his currently with the stock bore... and that's with LOTS of wheelies and abuse. It really just depends on how you're riding it. A stock bore will go a LONG time provided that you keep it full of fresh oil, keep the AFR correct, and if you're going to do wheelies, making sure you have a modified oil pump. It's when you start going big bore that you start the stress everything out.
Have you ever been pulled over round here in Fresno?? I live in Clove n just moved to right here n smash my bike around everywhere n just wondering if I should slow it back and drive my car more if it’s less likely to get pulled over. Can’t afford it.any info would help cuz this place is new to me.
I need to knock on wood, but no, I have never been pulled over on a bike here in Fresno. That being said, I don't hoon around or speed very much on the streets. We have that for parking lots. If you speed and draw attention, they'll get you.
CT Gromer Hey I noticed u are selling that red Grom with 4,100 miles on it? Well let me know if you would want to trade it for a all Black Kawasaki Z125 with only 800 miles on it. I would be willing to trade straight across and I feel that the 800 vs 4100 mile difference would cover the price difference when purchased new .. and I actually have a fender eliminator on its way but pretty much stock. If ur not interested it’s all good just thought I’d see wasup.
CT Gromer lol Yeeaa buddy!!I completely understand my dude I wanted a GROM soooo bad I was watching videos like daily about which is better the z of grom.. and then I found this one on the market for only 2 grand so I had to pull the trigger on it since it only had 200 miles. But I still have Grom fever .. thanks bud keep it up ur vids are pretty captivating.. n when ever u n ur OG Grom wanna get smoked by the Z125 lmk. Lol aha jokes. Stay up bro💯💨🚬😮

What and where can you buy the above shown mods. Ty
Good Job! You are selling the OG? That is my favorite bike. Thanks for the video
Ohhh no. I love my OG. The red grom is on the chopping block!
Did you have to reroute wires when putting the new handlebars? I've seen maybe people have to. Thanks
Didn't have to do that on the DRZ110 bars, however if I had gone XR50 or Raptors for instance, I would've had to. Thanks for watching!
I just ordered this fender eliminator, thank you CT grommer !
Awesome bud, have you installed it yet?
Enjoy the Grom life 🙌

I know my question is a little late but I wanted to ask if u cut the bars down on the ends?
No, I've never done that, I like the nice wide grip.
No turn signals?
its got low-profile turn signals in the front, and the turn signals in the rear are integrated into the tail light.
do you need a 2nd relay for the tail lights??
how many miles can you get out of a grom before a rebuild

On those optional connector converters do you remember if it was the 3-2 or the 2-2?
Yikes, great question, can you be more specific? Which part are you talking about?
Is there a better foot break
Robert Davis I’m sure there is; I’ve never looked into modifying it! What’s wrong with stock??
