- Nintendo haven’t added any fighters to the Super Smash Bros Ultimate roster in two years. And we’re certainly not getting a Super Smash Bros Brawl remaster, or any Smash remaster for that matter, any time soon. But, that’s where we come in! Mashed is here to make all your Smash Ultimate dreams a cartoon reality. SpongeBob Squarepants, FNF Boyfriend and Doomslayer join the battle in this bumper-sized toon!
His last appearance in games was in the awesome Doom Eternal, but The Doom Slayer isn’t rusty, as you’ll see from what happens after he comes to the aid of Isabelle from Animal Crossing. In our Friday Night Funkin’ toon, Boyfriend impresses the clientele of a karaoke bar when he takes the stage. And, finally, Sponge Bob Square Pants cooks some patties and kicks some butt in his audition for Smash.

I think it's weird that Wario still gets depicted as a villain in smash. He's usually on the good side in the main games, and I've always kinda saw him like how I see King DeDeDe (although Wario is definitely a worse person than he is)

I think what most people forget about SpongeBob is he runs on cartoon logic, like Kirby, but unlike the pink ball of awesomeness, SpongeBob’s cartoon logic is insane. At one point he brought a drawing to life. And that’s the tamest that show got. It’s why he doesn’t clash well with smash bros, at least with Nick all star brawl, SpongeBob has other cartoon characters to do battle with, characters who also run in cartoon logic.

at first I thought, Spongebob has Toon Force at his disposal whilst all those video game characters still are subject to rules. so he's gonna obliterate every single one of them obviously.
then we discover that Spongebob is vulnerable to vomit. or more precisely, projectile vomiting, which is at least capable to knock him out.
