That line you had to wait in for Hurler is the reason they haven't done anything about it. If the general public still waits in line to ride it, the park doesn't see it as a problem.
Next time you go to Pigeon Forge you should try Anakeesta. They've got one of the most insane demented alpine coasters ever in Rail Runner. It wouldn't disappoint.

My first time riding Fury was on June 10th, about two weeks before it was closed.
Also, most alpine coasters are regulated to max out at 25mph. So, you didn't ride a bad one. That's just kind of how they are made.
😂 Agree that Hurler is terrible! I had heard it was bad so I went in with low expectations and still came off wondering why it hasn't been RMC'd. My Carrowinds hot take is Copper Head Strike is more fun than Fury.

Fury's been my #1 for years.
Some people consider Carowinds is one of the top 3 cedar fair parks
Myself included. Common consensus is 1. Cedar Point 2. Kings Island 3. Carowinds

One of the things I’ve learned is always to ride fury later as for me it fells to get so much faster the later in the day. Also funny story my first ever trip to carowinds we stayed at the best western you stated at and the hairdryer literally caught fire as we trying to get ready.
