Have to agree it is the isolation that really gets to you with chronic fatigue, as no one believes you are ill as you look and talk normally (mostly). I could so relate to this story and the helplessness of no one hearing you or believing you. So great he is following his dreams and has recovered! Gives the rest of us such hope......
In tears of joy and sadness at the same time watching this ❤️ Alex your inspiring and given me another lift towards my own recovery 💃Every morning I wake up in pain so I do a healing meditation rather than medication and probably could remember it of by heart now 🙂 Ditched heavy painkillers a long time ago and instead for over a year have been going to yoga once a week .. I love it and so does my heart mind and body. The loneliness is soooo LOUD still difficult for others to understand however I’m being more honest rather then HIDING the label of CFS/ME ! I try hard to eat well and rest well instead of resisting the exhaustion and pain and sadness ! Accepting every uncomfortable day with love ,loving myself and my body, helps to turn around the anger I may feel.Gratefullness has been another way forward ❤️🙏🏼 I hope to get back to healing others through my Massage which gives me a purpose ... The winter is the hardest time wearing a hot water bottle down my back ... a sense of humour helps ! I love nature and have lots of birds in my front garden which has brought me some stillness and peace during the indoor months.I am an outdoor girl really so looking forward to Spring.Alex Thankyou for sharing I’ve travelled in the past and will do so again namaste 🙏🏼
What a strong, courageous person Simon is, to push through to doctor appointments when at such a low ebb, stopping to sleep several times on the drive. Not having family support must have been so hard. I remember a rheumatologist who told me that fibromyalgia is just Type A people who can't get back up when they have a setback. I've thought of that so many times over the years of pain and fatigue. I've come to believe that there was a tiny kernel of truth under that harmful nonsense - it's only the truly stubborn and driven who persevere long enough through medical ignorance of fatigue, to the other side. Most people just sink under the waves.
This is such an awesome story - painful, beautiful, inspiring, courageous, and funny. Simon's music is great, and is such a nice backdrop for the story line. Great way to end the week!
Wonderful story! One of the problems with some people I tell them about the clinic is that they can't afford it and maybe if they could find a job with a very understanding employer it could be possible, that or being on the NHS.... Great story and incredible human being for get over such big struggles!

An amazing story which brought me to tears. Love the music.
Such a lovely video and heartening story. Love the music - had to keep pausing the video because I wanted to properly listen to both!!
