The thing is my house has always been a little confusing to me. I knew I was either a hufflpuff or a slytherin but wasn’t sure. Now after doing a good amount of thought I think I’m a slytherin. I definitely have a decent amount of hufflpuff characteristics but I know I’m a slytherin!
As a Ravenclaw (which I got) this was poorly constructed, because the houses don’t come on a spectrum. Some of the early questions like n.2 were a tell-tell stereotype of each house, and it was hard to forget the order from then on. Others were arbitrary. McGonagall (Gryffindor) is my favorite, Air is fortunately my favorite. Had I said water (Slytherin), which I also like, I may have been sorted Hufflepuff - even though I never selected Hufflepuff options. Not that I mind, this is just a game. But a “count how many A/B/C/D” test would work best here.
As someone who has taken quite a lot of house tests, it always bothered me that they work with points like that. By this quiz, for example, I got 17 meaning I would be hufflepuff, but by no question I had the 2 point option. Instead, I had lots of 1's and a few 3's and 4's. If you just counted the amount of times you got the different numbers, you would have a more consistent result. All the quizzes I've taken put me in ravenclaw and hufflepuff absolutely doesn't fit my personality.

I've got Hufflepuff even though I strongly believe it should be Ravenclaw. Same as you I think that this test is quite poorly done. Most of the questions are completely relevant. I truly think that the official Warner Bros test is the most accurate one.
Glad you were able to say it. Often or not with these tests, I can find out which answer choice aligns with what house.

@@tigerlily1619 I've taken that one 6 times, and half the time I'm Slytherin and half the time I'm Ravenclaw. I'm very consistently a SlytherClaw. xD

@@tigerlily1619 Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's inaccurate. I'm actually saying that it marks me fairly accurately, tied between pursuit of knowledge and sheer survival instinct/cunningness.
It's accurate, as long as you put in what is true to yourself at the time of taking the test, rather than putting in what you'd want to answer in a fantasy setting. But that multiple tests over the course of multiple years would provide more long-term accuracy than a single instance of the test, taken at a high, low, or uncertainty-filled point in one's life..

Gryffindor for me. I would have been cool with anything, as long as I wasn't in Hufflepuff. Gryffindors are glory hounds, Ravenclaws are geniuses and Slytherins are ruthless and conniving.
