Thank you very much. I just got the guitar this week, ostensibly to burn a picture onto it, and decided to learn how to play. I am still working on basic chords, and hardening my fingers, but this song keeps coming back to me as something hopefully not too complex.

Nice one Peter, yeah this song, since you are beginning would be one of those "chip away" songs..one that you keep coming back to, if you pick another song too that has C Em Am and F in the meantime it will double down your time playing those chord shapes which will help. Then one chord at a time, focus on the rhythm, its a fun song to play. One of my favourite episodes of father ted too!
