Hello Taro, I don't think I have ever told you why you are my favorite outdoorsman.
There are many experienced Survivalist that can be found on the internet.
Some are Military trained, Others self taught thru trial and error, Others had it handed down from father to son and still others may be an expert in the region in which they live, Mountains, Desert, Jungle and yet others on certain climates Cold, Extreme Hot and so on.
What separates you from them to me is every time I watch your videos I feel like I'm there with an old friend that I have known since I was a child, It's like you and I grew up together.
I can almost tell ( Sometimes ) what your about to do.
But just like my old friends you throw me a " Curve ball " every now and then ( An American expression ).
Like myself to others when you show people things you don't come off as a know it all that is Supreme to everyone else.
You have a compassionate way of teaching and making people feel comfortable around you and your videos.
So from 1 Southern Boy who likes to enjoy nature and respects it to a Swiss Man who I can tell Loves and has a deep compassion for what he does...THANKS
God Bless...Jason.
After many failed attempts on my own, possibly this video can help me achieve my first fire by friction fire successfully. Thank you for uploading! Have a good day.
Wish you success and fun by practice it, thanks for watching

Very nice tips. I struggle with my bow drill techniques... I run out of energy. I will keep practicing. Also, being a woman my strength is not the same as a man, but I try. New Sub here.

Thanks for your welcome back and your support! All the best, Taro
That was a very good and informative demonstration. The first one of its kind for the different paracord-drill methods. I would highly recommend you use a straight piece of branch for the bow... instead of a bow piece. You will find you have more control. Good Job!
Great to see another video from you Taro!
Thanks Paul!!!
This video gives me some new ideas to try.. thank you very much Taro.
Great, wish your a lot of fun by trying the new stuff, take care, Taro
Nice to watch taro, I also use the two rope technique sometimes, although I call it the double stringer, same thing though. It’s a great technique I find. You explained it very well. Thank you taro.

Thanks for watching and your kind comment, yes in know him and I was very happy when he tried my long burning torch and mention me in his video, take care, Taro
I have not seen the Egyptian method or the two rope methods before and will be trying them next time I go camping. It was also interesting to see the different techniques to keep the spindle from flipping out of the bow. It's good to see you back Hope things are well and that your new year brings good things.

Fantastic techniques. You are truly a master with a bow drill. I will try this for myself. Great video, and the production quality is amazing. Thank you.
Thanks for watching and your kind comment! Taro
Taro, I have enjoyed all of your short videos, straight to the point with pure demonstration of techniques. With the right production push you would do very well here in USA on television. I do not know how well these shows do Globally but here in USA they are a hit. I have taught my children shelter making techniques since they were small, these are the most important things in life to learn. Well done! Your videos are a true gift. Steve Gregory, town of Enoree, South Carolina in USA. Biss Dann!
Hi Steve, thanks so much for your very kind response and comment! It’s funny about three years ago I was in the casting for Naked and Afraid, it can to a contract but I was only a backup option, but no worry:-) glad to hear that you’ve shown the right why to your children and I still trying to do to my, and I agree that’s so important, wish you and your only the best! Taro
