- It was a big day for Emirates Team New Zealand sailing in the final race against Luna Rossa, but perhaps the biggest thrill of the day came as Tom Cruise and his son Connor jumped onboard the AC72 and took the helm on a thrill ride around San Francisco Bay.

I was sitting on the back of a boat one day and a guy was wandering past and stopped to say hi and how was my day. Tom Cruise. It was just spontaneous and while I don't agree with his belief system he came across as a decent human being

If _'so many people hate him'_ , as you make it sound like, like it's just an exception of a few people who liked him, then he wouldn't have the success with his movies that he has, because people go and watch his movies particularly because of him , not because of the stories. He knows it, every studio and exec in Hollywood knows it. He can also be an outright asshole and is a manipulative control freak. But obsession is an engine, not an engine failure. So, everyone in their right mind knows that too and do not _'not like'_ him for that either. I think it will only be worth the investment if Team NZ actually win the thing- bring the cup back home and get to host the defending of it in New Zealand. I believe that's the governments view too, as I don't think there will be funding next time if they don't. In saying that, I love Team NZ and I'm glad our country is in this.
