I love your "playing' in the woods" gear. Very simple, very basic. Mostly the same from outing to outing with a few items added from time to time. You rely on skills rather than extra stuff. Its inspirational. Thank you Jason. I've been motivated how I pack my gear. Less bulky, less weight.
Thanks for the support!
Light and tight. D🤙😎🇺🇸
Glad to see some real world survival stuff and not a bunch
of cul-de-sac commando stuff
for those fantasy firefights in
the gated subdivision
I would add mosquito repellent and a head net. Whistle. Tweezers. Small knife or razor blade. Pepper spray. Thanks for sharing. Poncho/hammock/bivy is an attractive light setup.
Maybe a small vial of colloidal silver for on the cotton. That would cover a potential infection from a splinter as you don't have a tweezers. I don't see a need for a snife at all. I do see a need for a small section of map for your compass. Great fruits brother! 😊
Can definitely go out with just a knife and survive... but it would be a struggle. I definitely think you brought enough dependent on weather. Where you are, You have water/shelter/food.... the basics are covered. Good stuff. Have fun! Learn and enjoy!
Good load out. Covers everything you would need for a short duration. This on top of pocket edc items including belt knife and good to go.
Jason, you cover the necessities well - water, shelter, fire, food. But although cotton strips and duct tape can bandage cuts, I always have a small tube of antibiotic ointment and a couple bandaids. Also have tweezers for splinter removal.
the Ti grayl is a game changer.
Hello Jason as always great content with amazing tips stay safe out there my friend God bless you always
Thanks 👍
Nice kit. You go light, have all bases covered and could improvise a lot if you had to. 👍🏻
I do usually take a bottle of new skin inside a plastic medicine bottle for bonbons that bandaid won't cover. Great video and delivery!
Can't wait to use the survival bag you gave me.
Soon!
Good kit,
well done on the video
I love that cemetery. It’s so peaceful. 😊
Very realistic pack. Definitely curious about a 72 hour version. (Edit: I just saw you did a video on it!)
Love your channel, very realistic videos, not the extreme prepper/tactical themed stuff, just the bare basics, no one is going to hike tens of miles with an extremely heavy backpack.
Greetings from The Netherlands. 🇳🇱
Thanks for the info!
THANKS
I would add a headlamp
Nice set up. Lookin forward to you gettin there. TAKE CARE..
Comment for the algo's... loved the video...
Thanks!
Nice set of kit......the only thing I would add is a folding saw.
Great video. I need to get myself some duct tape wrapped around a lighter. Lots of great stuff in your bag. Take care
Good revision mate.
Better to have some stuff than nothing
You can add a radio vhf uhf
Every time I/we go out i make sure careful planning of specific gear is chosen.... for way to long i either went out with way to much stuff....or not nearly enough... and with those instances.... its refined what we take out with us... being able to use your imagination and do certain things on the fly really lends itself to potentially carrying less gear with you... like you..I go for gear with multiple uses... never just one
Great video brother. Just got my ulu. Love it. Perfect size.
Also love the tin it comes in
Enjoy it
Oh and I suspect if it is raining hard, it would be hard to stay dry under that poncho while in the hammock. I tried once in a dinghy - kept getting drips- but maybe it’s enough if the bivy is waterproof , and you really focus on the poncho keeping your head dry
Deja vu
Med kit, hygiene
See ya on the next one
Really smart kit! Maybe not exactly what I'd carry but really can't find any fault in it. I wish you would have added a magnifying glass to the fire kit so i could make fun of you.
Hahaha! I have a huge magnifying glass. Weighs about 2 pounds. I’ll bring that one next time.
Great stuff as always. I like that exo repair thingy, I reckon I'll grab one of them. Loads of vids to catch up on! Been a super busy season teaching so iv dropped off following you, need to get back on it!
In regards to missing kit, I always think you lack medical gear but then again, all my med items are out of date, how often do we use them. Just finished teaching a 4 day course, one small cut and endless ticks. Tweezers!
Welcome back!! I guess you can’t have too much med gear.
First 😂😂😂! Not that it matters 😂
😂
It matters!!
@@ONThree thanks 😊
In Finland during the summer months a hammock with bug netting is the bare minimum for me. The mosquitoes here can box a turkey toe to toe, and it’s a fair fight. I’m with you, keep it light and you keep it fun.
I'd add electrolyte powder like Dr. Price's. Virtually no space/weight and none of that artificial fake sweeteners. Drinking water is good, but if you don't get those electrolytes and minerals into your system you still will have problems.
True. A lady in South Dakota died this summer from dry land drowning because her electrolytes dropped and she drank a bunch of water.
People survived without that for hundreds of years. I figure he should be ok for 2 days.
People have survived hundreds or thousands of years without almost all those items. The idea is to have a kit where you aren't totally wrecked at the end of 48-72 hours. Of course there are offsetting factors like how much you may sweat or other sources such as the food you eat so maybe you never need it. In my thinking and experience, summers in the south can be brutal and if an ounce or two can help it is worth it.
Great video Jason. I have been trying to find the machete you use. I bought one the other day and it is pos. Can you point me in the direction of where I can purchase one. Thanks for the help. Keep up the good work!!
Trimotina makes a good one. The handle will need some work but for $20 they are hard to beat. Galivan machetes are hard to find. Imacasa’s are also good.
Need some 1st aid stuff
Jason, what is the pocket flashlight you carry ? I like it , very simple.
I believe it's an OLight i3. I've got a couple; great kit! Simple on/off, with 2 light settings.
Jason, i like the small pack..how about a bit more 1st aid items. Me saying this after being attacked by my new adopted puppy with razor sharp nails.. he laid my forearm open..( I'm on blood thinners). And how about a smaller pocket knife , (probably already in your pocket). Oh and the spirits won't bother you. lol
Stay safe out there. Halloween is coming..bring your girls there for an overnight. Totally BOO. 😄
Definitely wouldn’t hurt to have a few more medical supplies. I usually keep a small fixed blade on my belt and a multi tool in my pocket.
I find most first aid kits are just wasted space. Some very basic otc meds and molefoam can save a trip though. I also carry some bug dope but i'm in texas
Maybe a small vial of colloidal silver to put on the cotton.
Good video. You have a compass but no map. Yes, I know that you're probably familiar with the immediate area that you're in but what if you have to venture out into unfamiliar territory?
Good point!
What Lamar’s are you using in this vid?
Sorry. Not sure what you mean.
Whats you fav movie
Man that is a tough one!
Big fan of Jurassic Park, T2, Ferris Buellers Day Off, Peanut Butter Falcon and of course Rambo.
@@ONThreeRambo doesn't count as a movie. It's a documentary of what happens to White men in Canada 😉
Your pack is so small. There has got to be a ton of extra room in the RV. LOL
Neck gaiter video??
lol you're not a savage but you drink instant
Having instant coffee is WAY
better than no coffee.
There's times I'd have given
10 dollars for a cup if the coffee fairy would just appear
in the middle of nowhere and
bring me one
@@maxpinson5002 I can't with the flavor. I'm a snob and brew it out there. Even cowboy coffee is better than the instant in my opinion
Did I miss the knife or do you just carry a machete.
I carry an On3 EDC from Bear Forest Knives on my belt.
