Are Delhi University and Delhi school of economics the same?
I mean do I need to apply in DU to get in DSE?
No! You need to apply seperately for DSE and there will be an entrance exam. However, 50% seats are reserved for DU students. Good luck!
@Aditya Luthra Firstly, you need to register for Post Graduate entrance exam at DU website (already Open) then the exam will be conducted in the month of September. Actually my sister is applying and she also graduated from the same University so I know a bit of it.

What is process for admission now
Can a student who is persuing BA program in Economics and history apply for DSE 2023?
Yes according to the DSE's Bulletin anyone with 60% aggregate marks in any bachelor's degree course from any recognised university can apply for the entrance test. But you'll have to study DU's BA Economics (Hons) syllabus of about starting two years at least to crack the exam. Students of BA (Hons) Economics from Delhi University can apply for admission through Merit as well as entrance mode, 50% are reserved for Merit-based mode.

Is maths in class 12 necessary for dse entrance exam
DON'T go for economics hons if you can't do maths. I juat did my graduation in economics and it has a lot of maths. I did maths in 12th and it was helpful but those who've not done maths in 12th do suffer a lot you have a maths subject every semester. Maths, statistics, operations research and econometrics, these are gonna haunt you if can't do maths

I say go for a better place as I could not due to family problems and no matter what field you're choosing make sure you do internships or volunteering work to enhance your student portfolio.
