You knew it wouldn't last! Those Black wheels, I just can't do them. I have wanted Chrome or Polished wheels ever since I bought this truck. It is finally time. The problem with the new brake on the silverado or sierra is wheel fitment. I wanted to use a factory 22" Chrome wheel from an older model Yukon and it doesn't fit. In this video I am going to show you how to make a wheel or wheels fit a 2019-2023 GMC Sierra or Chevrolet Silverado. This will also work on the 2021 and up yukon and Tahoe. The brake in front on these gets in the way and rubs on the back of the wheel. I didn't want to run a 1" or bigger Wheel adaptor. I am not a fan of the poke out look. I found another solution. 1 is you can grind down some of the front brake caliper for fitment. 2 which is what I did is order a hub centric spacer. This would probably work with stock lug nuts but I didn't like the amount of thread engagement. I sourced a set of extended thread lug nuts which gives you more grab on the wheel stud. I am not a huge fan of wheel spacers or wheel adaptors but I will say these are very well made and don't push the wheel out much. I only ran this spacer on the front. In the back you have no issues with wheel fitment. You could however run a wheel spacer in the back also. I think this is enough room to run several of the stock GM wheels from the older generation trucks. If you are struggling with wheel fitment on newer gm brakes or sierra and silverado this is a must watch how to video. Another few things I wanted to address is the antenna. These trucks for some reason still have the goofy looking long GM Antenna. Why they haven't went to a glass mount like the tahoe and yukon I have no idea. I got a short antenna and intalled for a way cleaner look. I also did a complete debadge or emblem removal for a cleaner look. Removing the emblems is an easy way to make a truck look cleaner. Lastly I replaced the kick panel/door seal molding since it was completely scratched and destroyed. I think this truck looks so much better with just a few little mods. Hit the Comments and let me know what you think.......

Dude I found this channel and I love this dude, he’s so straight forward with instructions
Thank you
I have always liked the wheels flush with the fenders, definitely not sticking out. I had the same issues with running spacers, didn't think the lugs had enough thread bite too. Thankfully you went through this, now I have less fear in this. I am going to try this on my sierra now. Keep up the vids, great work.
Thank you. I can't do the poke out.
I’m a big fan of debadging myself, it’s just a way cleaner look without all that advertisement. Great job, you got a new subscriber! 👌
Thank you. I agree. Cheap way to clean things up.
Truck looks MUCH better with the bling on it!! These newer trucks are like driving on air. Silky smooth!
Thank you. It is smooth
Those are gorgeous wheels on that truck! What a transformation! Don't you dare change them! 😉
Thank you
Nice work bud definitely educated me on how to install the older wheels on the newer trucks if I decided to go with a older wheel
Thank you
SO much better !
Thank you
Looks great.
Thank you
I had the same setup on my 01 GMC, no issues ran it for 15,000 miles
Good to know
Looking good!✌🏻
Thank you Mark
Waiting on that drop!!
Its coming
Hi Travis
Nice Work!!!
Thank you
idk if you found out about the pulsar LT yet but definitely pick one up, kind of pricey but the amount of functions you get it’s worth it been using it on my 21 silverado for over a year, no auto start stop, dfm turned off and you can adjust the throttle sensitivity plus a bunch of other things
I did see it. I am on the fence
Let me buy the black ones for my Tahoe love the videos man!
Think they are sold.
I think the black rims thing just depends on what type of rim it is. I personally love black rims and to me the chrome looks like an old southern pastor’s pickup truck. Love chrome on old school/muscle cars though if not rallies. Just my opinion. Love the content. 🔥
That's me. Old. Lol
I was thinking if those wheels didn’t work on the new truck wonder how they would look on the green truck? Probably pretty damn good! But glad it’s working out the way you wanted. Can’t wait for the drop you have me thinking like you now I’m looking at all kinds of things thinking wondering how it would look lowered😁 Btw the 55 frame looks bad ass with everything mounted on it!
Thank you. They would look good on the green truck too
The chrome wheels you purchased are the exact ones I have on my Tahoe.
One on my favorite wheels
I’m with you on black wheels. Honestly I think I would only put them on a white vehicle and have it blacked out. On my 02 Sierra I put some silver Texas edition wheels and I love how they stick out from the black body and chrome bumpers.
Yeah. Can't do black
Dang it....I'm starting to like these Sierras now after just a few changes you've made! I can't afford your channel Travis!🤯😂
Lol. Sorry. More to come
I'm just catching your video on your new daily driver sierra.
Nice. Have a good night
There is a lot of chrome on the front end and sides with the mirrors and steps. I think this does look better for sure. I will say I'm a black wheel fan though. My 08 does have a compromise with it. Does have a lot of chrome. I have a 2020 AT4 set of wheels. 20's with a machined face and black back side. High mileage and struggling with taking the door ding bumpers off. They are starting the come loose at the ends. I'm sure I can put a tape line under them pull them off clean and re-3m them, but the bumpers are getting a little yellowed. I've see that body style in a 2500 with out the bumpers on them and it looks pretty good. I'm sure they helped over the years, but I do have some dings. I might just send it. I've had some of the weather tech mats since new. I think I sold the OEM mats. Carpet under them looks brand new... They can be look pretty dirty, but I do use my truck in dirty places... comes with my use.
I agree with the chrome and some on the black trim models. I can see it on a certain style truck.
Like the wheel choice just need to paint the black wheel well trim same as truck. Looking good
I may eventually
There is post on the internet somewhere on which Y2KK wheels fit over the T1XX brake calipers without spacers. The T1XX wheel hubs and spokes actually have different profile to fit over the brake calipers.
Correct but didn't like any of those wheels
Where did you get the GM factory style lug nuts with the extended thread to use with the spacers? Only saw the “temporary” style listed on your post.
Ebay lug nut store
I don't like the WeatherTech mats either. Those scratched everything because they were laid on top of the factory mats. They have to be secured to the floor so they don't slide around. That being said, my Tahoe came with those and it was the first thing I removed.
That is exactly my thoughts
I didn't see anything in your video about the antenna reception. Any good? I would like to get the short antenna for my truck.
It picks up stations 50 miles away
Much better look than with the black wheels
Thank you
I need a stock antenna for my 2017. What would you charge me to send one my way ? I 100% agree on black wheels too.
I actually tossed it recently
Hey Trav, where do u get your GMC emblem inlay’s from?
May have to make them out of vinyl
I have a 21 Silverado rst get the GM accessory formats you won’t have that problem
Not a fan of rubber mats
Wheels look great, When did G.M. go to those calipers?
Thank you. 2019 and up Silverado/sierra. 2021 up tahoe/yukon
Late seeing this....just bought my first GMC Sierra Denali....having issues with aftermarket Fuel Fusion Forge Burn wheels vibrating. Gonna see if the hubcentric rings work this week.
Hopefully that works but don't think that will help
@@TWAMotorsports it didn't work. Put back to factory and still having issues...maybe ARC is acting up. should have gotten an AT4
Could be driveshaft or tire balance issues
Any chance the replica wheels on the Yukon would fit without the spacers up front.
Just a thought.
Tried that too. Lol
If you don’t mind what do you do for work?
Sell commercial insurance now
Glad to see somebody not a fan of those muted black wheels!
Lol
What about color matching fender flares ? I have a 2020 gmc diesel and keep going back and forth if I want to or not
I'm kind of thinking about that myself
Body liner to colour match its smooth glossy line x it’s really nice stuff
Maybe down the road
Where did you find the spacers
Link in video description
What type of short antena do you use for the nbs trucks
7 inch. Link in those descriptions
@@TWAMotorsports thanks and finally I will say good bye for the stock one
Hey Travis what brand tires did you use on this Truck?
Nitto
Ok thanks Travis, I didn’t know if the three new ones you bought was nitro also , somethings it hard to find the same ones.
Ended up buying 4 after all was said and done.
I was not a fan of the black wheels mysef.
A Denali should only have wheels.
Are you going to change the black wheel well trim as well ?
I'm not sure yet
Windshield tint?
Eventually
What about switching back to a 2018 brake caliper and rotor setup
Believe me that crossed my mind
@@TWAMotorsports I like the look and like the content.
Thank you
I am experiencing a relay sounding click coming from my break pedal on the same truck. Any ideas what it could be before I take it to the dealership?
Never heard of that honestly
@@TWAMotorsports thanks anyways. It might just get traded in sooner now.
Lol. I get that
@@TWAMotorsports It seems to only do it at low speeds. Maybe has something to do with the gear shifter lock? Is there something that relays the speed and activates the shifter lock when stopped vs moving?
Not that I am aware of
So have you had any issues with the wheels? You said this would be temporary, have you made any other or permanent changes? I would like to upgrade my AT4 to some older 22's (Black, sorry) and found a set of 6mm spacers that claimed to clear the caliper bump, LIES!!! Then they banged me a restocking fee for their misrepresentation of their product. So before I keep buying products that say they work and wasting time and money I'd like to hear some real life success stories. Also how did the short antenna work out, did you lode any HD channels? Thanx for any/all info you can provide!!!
Hopefully you got my email. No issues whatsoever
Im currently sitting here with older yukon wheels bought same spacers and lugs on this video i still have slight rubbing on that front caliper.
Mine didn't
How long until you trade it for another vehicle
Who knows with me
I’m ocd and I can tell front is out further than rear and would bug me
May add some in back too
I have a friend that was diagnosed with Obsessive compulsive disorder. OCD is a mental health disorder that affects people of all ages. This cycle of obsession & compulsion consumes a lot of time (more than an hour every day) & causes intense distress. Medication & psychotherapy are good ways to help. My friend has vastly improved with these 2 options. Good luck to you @Fast_427_ss
imho the wheels are not good, the black ones should be painted or powder coated to a different color or use a different wheel.
I may do that eventually
Next time try painting the black wheels a bright sliver.
Don't love the design either
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you
I appreciate your OCD
Thank you. Sometimes its a problem
Yes!!…..this is the kind of person U would want 2 buy a vehicle from….I commend the OCD 🤣😂🤣
Thank you
Are u going to lower the truck 🤞
Come on.....you know it. Lol
Debadging was an excellent idea. Looks great! I also can’t stand black wheels. Chrome all the way!
Thank you. Definitely better with my old man chrome
Get the fender flares painted
May happen eventually
Now you need a lowering kit 👌
Oh its coming
I agree,I hate black wheels
Indeed. So plain
chrome is extremely 80's like a cheap gmc. Chrome is gone! truck looked much better with black.
To each their own
Dude just have the calipers machined then the wheel is going to fit back where it's supposed to so it looks flush, simple
That is an option too
I freakin' hate black wheels, my 20 year old son calls me a "Boomer" , Hey I am what I am, but I hate BLACK wheels !
Agreed
@@TWAMotorsports ok Boomer
I can’t stand black wheels either. No matter what size or design…you can’t see the difference unless you are 5 feet away. They all look like someone stole their hubcaps!
Lol. I'm fine with that.
Lol. Exactly
So you will keep this about a month then sell it.
Not the plan
