Kevin Ping I get 27-29mpg in city driving and close to 40mpg on highway with the 17 inch rims on the EXL. The bigger rims affect the mpg. The CVT doesn't get better than the automatic transmission did. I'll give you that much. I actually had a 13 Civic LX prior as a lease. It got 30mpg in the city and 43 on the highway...go figure. The CVT sucks! So slow!!!!
This year's Car & Driver and Motor Trend ranked it 3rd and 4th in the compact segment, so Honda needs to spruce things up a bit. I too, miss the hatchback. Love my 15’ LX. Volume knob. Built-in aux, although I use the also built-in Bluetooth. Yeah I got the CVT. It’s not as bad as my brother’s 08’ Altima. Hey guys I've been looking into the 2014 Civic Hybrid but I can't seem to find a good review of it do the things mentioned in this video apply to the Hybrid version? outside of the whole motor strength which is obvious. Thanks for the awesome review though!
I have a 2008 Honda Civic right now and I'll be upgrading to a newer Honda Civic the first week of January. Thinking of going with a 2014-2015 model. I'm gonna get a manual though (one I have now is automatic and I wanna switch to a manual). Cannot wait to get it. Looks like a really nice car and I know some people who have one and they love it. I think I'm gonna like that one better than the car I have now. Lol.
I have this car. If you're thinking of buying just know that it's insanely light. So driving in strong wind can be scary. I've been pulled partly into the other lane by the wind before.
I can't stand the CVT on my 2014 Civic. Ugh. However, it's smoother when on eco mode lol! The EXL with the 17 inch rims are pretty loud on the interstate. The 16 inch rims are probably less loud. I love the leather heated seats though.
It's just the same. But they have a new trim called the SE which I guess it means Special Edition. Now I didn't know they're redesigning the 2016. I'm excited for that. Well the SE is nothing really eye catching. It looks like the LX but it has interior features of the EX.

My 2015 civic at 46k mileage the car kicked forward on its own at 31 mph while rolling while my foot was released from paddles... should I bring to Honda to check the transmission?
+Dean Tuna Well Honda came up with a solution. Honda Key Fobs has this silver top. Thing is that silver top is connected with an actually key. So if your Honda has keyless entry, and your fob dies out, you pull that key and and use it. Now when you start the car with push button start, you just have to have the key fob inside the car and press the brake(or clutch if manual) and press the push start button. If the key fob dies out, usually it has a bit of power left. You would have to place the key fob next to the push button start, hold it there, press the brakes or the clutch and then hold the push button start until the car starts. So it's not like Honda just made a Key fob and that's it. They made back up solutions if the key fob goes wrong. It's also important that once you encounter these problems, it's best that you take your Honda to the dealership to replace and renew that key fob.

Can anybody please answer this? I thought Nissan originally came up with the design of the CVT. Then why is Honda and Subaru using it? Did Nissan partner with those two car companies?? If it was Nissan's idea, then wouldn't they lose popularity if the Accord and the new Civic are using CVT engines. I hope this is all about partnership!
Toyota and Honda both use different CVTs that Nissan and Subaru, they source the CVTs they use from a Japanese company called Jatco. Nissan first adopted the technology but did not design it.
They can be folded manually backward or forward. And no it will not break. These folks either don't know what they are talking about or pulling your leg
well, there is a fue thing that i do not like about the 2015 civic, when you drive on a strait highway the staring wheel is slightly down to the left side, and you know what that means, the 2 front wheels are to far to the right, and the battery in the honda civic 2015, giveing out at 30 month, honda really need to put a better battery in there cars, you know what a better warranty means,? selling double the amount of cars, and am not sure if the american cars are the same as battery wise as canada. i know on you tube, there are a lot of people complaining about the honda cars, in canada and usa,and it's not just the honda, i do not think that a new car should start failing at this early age, 21 thousand km, when it's been driving with car, and looked after well,
+Shray Dose it have ok trunk space for bigger items !! Is it flexibility enough in that area I would like flexibility with the trunk just in case I need to put bigger items in the trunk!!
The rear seats are 60/40 split so you can fold them down, and the cargo capacity is just adequate. The Nissan Sentra has a large trunk in the class while the Focus and Mazda3 Hatchback have the highest space overall.
IMPORTANT CAR BUYING TIPS, the civic 2015 is a nice car, but there is 1 thing that i hate about any car, when they do the alignment the staring wheel is slightly leaning to the left side wile driving on a very strait highway, and you know what that means, the car could be in line , but ours wasn't, was always wearing the right tire on the out side, honda said that it was the tire company flat, that's not the truth, the truth is the car is aligned with the 2 front wheels to far to the right, and this why the staring wheel is going down to the left, but the honda are beautiful cars, i am not saying that, if someone is leasing , hay any thing is ok, but when buying any car, honda and nissan, mostly, i checked them all, all makes and models, there is 2 really important factors to look for when buying a new car, number 1, check all door and hood and trunk seams to see if the space is the same on all doors , hood , and trunk cover, number 2, how it is handling and staring on the highway, the staring wheel should be right strait and level wile driving on a strait highway , it should be so so easy and comfortably to drive, not having to direct the car every foot of the way, the car should almost float like a plain , if the car that you are thinking of buying fails thouse 2 test, leave it there walk away, try another car, until you find one that passes those 2 teats, it;s is very important, you will be very glad that you did, because a car that fails the 2 tests, your having big problems down the road, , this goes for all cars makes and models, but i have checked many cars , and honda , and nissan mostly have those problems, never grab and take, because listen guys, a car should be made straid all thing lining up nice, if not there something wrong some one is not telling you, car buying tips, you'll be glade that you did.
I wanted a 15 Ex-L when I was looking for a car since my 09 3 was going out I was trying to find one with low miles but I ended up with a 16 Elantra for less money and some other features but i am going to buy a Civic as a secondary car to have to use to travel

Christian Lozano I had a 2009 Corolla in the past and that one really took its time. Lol. I’m just glad the Honda is geared better. Less RPM from what I notice which brings many benefits
were you in Tehachapi?
You should come to Europe where 143hp is quite a lot for this class ;), the 8th gen Civic's base engine had 83hp here xD
how much would be for one of these in 2020
I just bought one a few months ago from dealer for a little over 10k. 47k miles. Love it.
@@selfdiscardedkingofruin7291 What trim?
@@jeanlenor1858 just an LX. But it's got all i need. Power everything, bluetooth, back up camera, great MPG. Just hit 50k miles this week lol.
Got one for $9k but it was an all day affair. I think I wore the dealership out with consumer tenacity lol.
I love the civic si 2 door from this generation
I prefer the 8th generation honda civic I'm going to keep my 2010 because it doesn't even have 50,000 miles on it and I still ain't nowhere near paying it off but I don't need all that fancy technology I got what I wanted I even got a five-year 50000 mile warranty Gotta Love drive time
+Kyle Smith Yeah that Civic is the most ugliest one.
my civic is 2015 ex and the same color but has black interior, interesting.. also my paint on my side back bumper is peeling :(
How many miles?

Can anybody please answer this? I thought Nissan originally came up with the design of the CVT. Then why is Honda and Subaru using it? Did Nissan partner with those two car companies?? If it was Nissan's idea, then wouldn't they lose popularity if the Accord and the new Civic are using CVT engines.
I hope this is all about partnership!
Toyota and Honda both use different CVTs that Nissan and Subaru, they source the CVTs they use from a Japanese company called Jatco. Nissan first adopted the technology but did not design it.
I just found a history about it. Thanks for letting me know!
this want to make me go outside and kiss my Honda civic. I felt like I been so rough on my car and didn't show my appricataeion
How tall is Micah?
does the driver side mirrors fold in? for when you are parked
No
+julia love do it yourself, you can just fold those suckers back with your hands
you probably could, though they would break haha
They can be folded manually backward or forward. And no it will not break. These folks either don't know what they are talking about or pulling your leg
So getting it
Anyone notice the corolla driving behind him 2:01
yes very close behind him
You can just raise the volume with the steering wheelusing your thumb nvm im probably just talking cuz i have a big thunb
Hey! You filmed part of this in Tehachapi!
I like this style
well, there is a fue thing that i do not like about the 2015 civic, when you drive on a strait highway the staring wheel is slightly down to the left side, and you know what that means, the 2 front wheels are to far to the right, and the battery in the honda civic 2015, giveing out at 30 month, honda really need to put a better battery in there cars, you know what a better warranty means,? selling double the amount of cars, and am not sure if the american cars are the same as battery wise as canada. i know on you tube, there are a lot of people complaining about the honda cars, in canada and usa,and it's not just the honda, i do not think that a new car should start failing at this early age, 21 thousand km, when it's been driving with car, and looked after well,
song?? at 00:10
Are you here to listen to music? Wrong place.
Why they gotta zoom in on the fucking train? I'm tryna see the car.
😂😂😂
I have a 2015 Civic but would prefer my 02 Civic
Everyone forgets about the civic hf lol, probably the one I'd actually buy.
Yeah well the 2015 Toyota Corolla has a back up cam and usb port. Also Toyoto is the number one company in the most sold cars in the world.
I love my 2015 honda civic
How many miles?
How many airbags?

It's hard to take advice from somebody who continually uses the word staring instead of steering...

I wanted a 15 Ex-L when I was looking for a car since my 09 3 was going out I was trying to find one with low miles but I ended up with a 16 Elantra for less money and some other features but i am going to buy a Civic as a secondary car to have to use to travel
What is your net worth?
Why buy 2 commuter grade cars? Save up and buy something you can be proud of in contrast to that Elantra :x
Hey, did anyone else notice the train in the background?
*****
Just checking folks' attention to detail by seeing if they noticed a train in the background.
The civic review made for Railfanners lol
can anyone else that owns a 2015 civic confirm if you have trouble keeping the car straight on the highways? this car is so hard to keep straight on the road...is it just my car? please help!!!
Sae it’s just a light car with small tires so any influence on the power steering from the driver is pretty magnified. Also depends on how the road you’re driving on is paved.
great commuter
The 2016 is suppose to get a hatch.
The civic always had a hatchback. It's that the hatchback is not Available in America.
I love my car 🚗😍
There is a hatcback, just import it from Europe, Belgium or Latvia...
not a chance with the cvt trans-no way
That interior needs to go. If they change the outside of a car, they should change the inside too.
