Your video absolutely saved me! I’ve been working on a project and have pulled it out seven times because of holes. Watching your video made it possible for me to finish that part of the project without any holes. Thank you thank you thank you!
Closing that hole at the bottom was like a magic trick I'm shook
This video saved my life because I kept having gaps!!! Thank you so much for the crossing 😭😭
The best video on intarsia, clear and simple you just saved my knitting work! :)
Thank you so much for going slow!!!! Wish every knitting video was as clear as yours! :)
I’m just loving how Edie goes from picking to throwing without a shred of doubt. Watching a master here.
Agree with many comments - this video clearly demonstrates intarsia. Other videos discouraged me from trying intarsia. Edie is an excellent instructor! Thank you.❤
EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT TUTORIAL!!!! I've been intarsia knitting JUST LIKE THIS since I was six years old. My friend 3,000 miles away wanted to learn how to do intarsia........ EASY PEASY..... I just sent her the link to your site. Thank you!!! Thank you!!!!
Thank you for this clear, straightforward lesson. Great modeling. I also appreciated your showing how to recognize when you’ve make an oops....super!
Very helpful! And surprisingly, the first of 3 very popular videos to show how to tie in the ends.
Just amazing to see someone go between english & continental knitting so fast!
Thank you for this very helpful video. You have explained the intarsia technique better than anyone I have ever seen!
Good grief, your knitting is so pretty and even!!! I would have no idea of the fact that you had to switch yarns and do all of these extra steps. Great work!
Thanks for the video. I’ve not really done any intarsia knitting before and have started a patterned blanket which uses this technique. I have soo many ends after 3 rows as I thought you needed to cut the yarn at each row, but now seeing this, I think I can rectify the holes and make the pattern look nicer from now on!!!
Thank you so mich Edie I’d be lost without you 😁
Best Intarsia Video! You made it so easy to understand! Brilliant - always bring old yarn to the left!
Great video. Have done fair isle but not intarsia. What a great teacher! Thank you.
Thank you for such a clear, easy-to-understand explanation of intarsia. Now I think I can tackle the scarf pattern I've been studying!
AMAZING!! This is exactly what I've been looking for thankyou so so much!!
Hurray! At last a video that actually helps me.
I appreciate this video very much! I had tried to learn intraday by reading and looking at articles, and just got more confused! Thank you!
Thank you for this excellent tutorial! I’ll refer to it while practicing. It’s a lovely technique and I’m so grateful you posted it. Thank you!

Thanks for posting this clear, concise and easy to understand intarsia video. So very helpful. Thank you.
Thank you so much! This video helped me learn how to do this
I decided to take on intarsia without really knowing what was entailed and how confusing it was to do in multiple settings for a dress for my 3 year old. I have some design holes for the first few rows of pattern but your video is going to help me fix that going forward thank you!!
Your video is my big luck. All i just want is a tutorial that can cover the gap btw the 2 colors. It is very helpful and thankful for us to know. Wish you bestwishes💙💙
Best tutorial by far! Thank you

Thank you, I'm new to Intarsia and this was very helpful.
fantastic tutorial ❤️❤️❤️
You are absolutely the best
Great video - instructions clear and easy to follow
That is a really helpful tutorial. Thank you.
You make Intarsia look so easy. I'm amazed that you don't have any loose stitches at the transitions. You don't seem to be pulling them tight, just knitting at regular tension. This goes against all other videos I've seen. Is it true that you aren't doing anything special, other than crossing the yarns, at the transition?
Aula fantástica! Eu sou iniciante e tinha dúvidas nesse tipo de trabalho. Vou ver o vídeo novamente e fazer algo semelhante para aprender! Thank you!😃❤️
Excellent tutorial!! Thank you for sharing 😊
Incredible tutorial, you explained this so well!!
turkce cok aradim bulamadim tesaduf bu video yu gordum cooook teşekkür ederim ❤

Thank you so much for this. That was very clear.
You're a great teacher, I know what I was doing wrong now thank you!!
Wonderful tutorial!
Super clear and helpful! Thank you!
If the pattern is a half diamond repeated along the front and back of the sweater, and the the next half diamond at the tip is 11 stitches apart
How do you weave it without leaving a long float which would catch on things particularly if the sweater is for a two year old?
I absolutely loved this tutorial!! Thanks a lot!!
Very clear instructions. Thanks!!
Great video!! Super helpful. I appreciate the troubleshooting tips. Saved my project!

I like your nails! :)~
so helpful! thank you very much
This is the best instruction on intarsia knitting. Since you are a designer, as a guy, I'm looking for a pattern for a basic sweater (cotton for summer wear) for a man. Any suggestions?
Question: why is it important to use a different ball of yarn or separate yarn? Is just so there won’t be crossing?
Exactly! If it's only a few stitches (usually 4 or less) you can use the same ball of yarn, but for something of this size you'll always want to use multiple balls.
You began the swatch using Continental knitting but changed to British knitting to accomplish the intarsia pattern. Is it not possible to work intarsia in Continental knitting? I ask because I am strongly dominant with Continental and not nearly as deft as a thrower. Your work is lovely and your explanation clear...however, I will keep looking for a completely Continental version of the technique.
Can you please demonstrate how to make those "butterflies" of yarn instead of having bobbins? I used to do it so many years ago and I truly forget the little trick to keep them from unravelling. Thank you.
nope never mind it clicked I got it :D Thank you lol
Thank you!
You had said that intarsia is usually used for flat works, but I'm considering it for my color change in the heel of a sock. Would this be a preferred method, or is there something better suited for that?
Thank you ❤️
I am a beginner in knitting. I need to wait until I become somewhat decent before I try this!
Always challenge yourself with patterns with new techniques and have fun!
I’m new to intarsia & appreciate this clearly explained video. I have a question for which I’ve been unable to find an answer & hope you can help.
If the contrasting color on the Purl side (for instance the green in the video) is picked up several stitches out to the side from the last green (knitted) row, that seems to create a float. Is there any way to correct that? Should the float be limited to 5 or less stitches?
Thanks very much.
