Simple and elegant was described as “sanitary” back in the olden days of 1950’s. Open wheeled Highboy Deuce coupes with closed up engine hoods were often described that way in the Hot Rod Magazines of the day. That dash is a knock out of understated elegance.
Good choice of gauges boys and a nice touch with the combination switch, it all looks the part, all you need now is one of those old school accesssary indicator switches on the colomn. Cheers Greg
Fantastic work on the dash! Less is always more with these roadsters! At the rate you're going Black Bess is going to be scooting down the road before my '46 Business Coupe! Go Bennetts Customs, keep moving forward!
I ended up making dies for common guage sizes because everything I could find for my knockout punch were either too big or too small. And constantly building my character by manually bringing the holes to dimension got old fast, lol. The dash (heck, the whole car) looks fantastic!
Glad you liked the ignition switch/headlight switch, now, what are you using for a starter switch, the 50's through 70's Evinrude/Johnson outboard cutout switches are real nice push button switches and are heavy duty you can use them with either the stock rubber button cover or remove the rubber and its a sweet chrome button under it.
Your hydraulic punch setup is so universal , could you send me a few photos of the ram and punches , the work your doing is amazing , the quality is right up there , keep up the work you have my utmost respect and really inspires me to build my model a coupe 👍
Nice layout Jordan. You should of give us a close up of the gauges. For us old people. Or we can Google them right. I like the not over the top layout. Not cluttered just functional. All the best. Tim.
Jordan I thought you might have used images of the gages to help with your placement before punching. Place the photo of the gages on your layout to see what it looked like
That looks so cool, old school with a hint of vintage aviation.
My favourite
Excellent job 👍.😎
Love your music choices ... and the dash. LOL
Beautiful dash Jordan, nothing fancy or over the top, just right. Well done!
Thanks Paul!
I bought the same gauges, but with white faces. Love 'em!
Love that engine turned panel and perfect choice on the gauges, well done!
Thank you Ray!

Great way to explain Gary! Thank you
Looks really nice. I was going to run the original dash in my Jeep, but having seen this, I think I need to step it up a bit.
Start engine turning Tim!

That would be cool!!

Thank Murdoc! Hope we can get the motivation stoked with these two roadsters.

Yeah right away Rob I thought to my self a set of accurate ones need to be made now! Add it to the list!
Very nice.
Looks great, I like the ignition /light switch and the jeweled lights. The chrome looks amazing with the machine turned aluminum.
Nice work on the dash. I used Stewart-Warner gauges in a 46 Willy’s I built back in the early 70’s. They definitely have the cool factor.
Great video. I like the tach closer than the MPH gauge.

Dash looks like a piece of jewelry!! Take care!
Thanks Dale!
Very clean dash! I dig it!
Hay do you have a part number of the Lucas ignition switch the dash like a work of art thanks (I know a guy garage)

Tried to keep this one simple. Already a lot going on with the engine turning! Will be nice to see them with lights
What is the part number on the switch?? That would work great on a jeep!!
Series 1 Land Rover I’ll find the part number
Love the Lucas ignition switch headlight switch combo. Any chance you could share the part number, or where to source it?
You bet Larry, I’ll find it for you and let you know
I would love to know that as well
Jordan

Or do a stiff cardboard mock-up panel. Although his judgement is 9 times out of 10 spot on.
Thanks Murray!
I had planned on doing it and had them ready to cut out of tape, but then I just thought I think that’s it “let’s just roll with it” haha
Do I see a lathe in the background?
Yasss finally!
cool tool likely comes with dimple dies
Does the turn signal switch require flasher separately?
Trashcan 🗑️ Approved 🤘😎
Doing 90 sittin' still !!
Wast a fan of the dash...until now!
She’s fast sitting still!
