Hi are their still backpackers watching friends in the bars there, that's one thing I never got but it takes all sorts .
Truly enjoyed these recent videos!! I wanna come and visit Laos on my next adventure!! How long can I stay on visa. Ty
Thanks!
Tourist visa is for 30 days but you can extend that for another 60 if you want more time 👌
So many hidden gems on Peter's property. I know that you have answered this question before , Todd. Forgive me, can a Foreign National become a Lao citizen and ,if so , what are the requirements ? What a legend Peter is . Be Well Dear Friends 🙏 from Jim and Harriet
Thanks Jim. Yes, a foreigner can become a citizen. I'm not entirely sure of the process, but with Laos not allowing dual citizenship it would require the applicant to give up their original citizenry. You would be better off keeping your own citizenship and become a 'Resident' of Laos, which does come with more benefits than just a holder of a long term visa. One of the conditions to aquiring this though is speaking Lao fluently.. which rules me out for a while 😆
awh chip buttey
Todd as always a superb vlog
The family had a busy weekend
That was the first Christian church I’ve seen in Laos Todd

Fantastic as always bro! I’m heading to vang vieng start of February, is it a good time to go weather wise (temperature) Also how many days? ( as a backpacker) cheers
Early Feb the weather should still be good 👍 Late Feb early March it begins to heat up again and the burning season starts 👎
Lots to do in Vang Vieng as a backpacker. They usually hang around for nearly a week or more 👌Hire yourself a scooter and get out and explore!
Fibre is Kapok??
Hmong traditionally practice animism. However, there are millions of Chinese Hmong who converted to Christianity in the 19th century due to active British missionaries there. Similarly, there are also hundreds of thousands of Hmong Christians in Vietnam due to the Catholic church during the French colonial period.
As a matter of fact, both Hmong Romanized scripts n use today (RPA in S.E. Asia/the West and Pollard in China) were developed by Christian missionaries. Demographically, the Pollard script is more widely used just because Chinese Hmong number in the 10's of millions vs the diaspora community which is considerably smaller, < 1.5 million.
Hmong people originally Shamanic but wen the french came, they tried to convert many hmong to become christian
Convinced not convert
cant have hot chips without vinegar
Bloody oath mate!
you know todd pigs can swim
you wont get any more tickets in the new ride they will think your one of them
Haha that's what I thought. In saying that.. I've never received a ticket yet. Costs very little to get out of it 😆
Was watching another UA-camr and he went some part on Lao and the Chinese are taken over he was American and they wouldn’t even let him cross into another part of loa the hole area was run by Chinese and not looking good for loa
It's a special economic zone they have leased off Lao.
That American went there to do negative propaganda against Chinese in LAOS. His purpose in LAOS was to have bad intentions against LAOS country.
I thought this Vang Vieng island is a paradise but it turned out to be another tourist nuisance . Wasted my precious time watching this video .
Please explain what you mean.. 🤔
