I have been addicted to the world of spatial computing, but the current iterations have a few problems - First of all, spatial computing is very expensive, and usually confined to big bulky headsets that are uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time, as well as having a big learning curve for new users. However, XREAL has a new solution that is not only cheaper, but may be the easiest spatial computing platform to learn because it already works just like your smartphone.
Check out the XREAL Beam Pro starting at $199 here: bit.ly/45JlXde 👀🕶
Is it possible to know the date when it will be on sale on Amazon?
Have a nice 4th of July
I'm reluctant in purchsing another device which will stay in development mode for its entire life. The beam device never became production ready, there was never an appstore, and sideloading was an hassle. Software is the biggest problem when purchasing devices from xreal
I took a shot every time you said XREAL Beam Pro - anyone got a spare liver I can have? thanks in advance
I assume he kept saying “beam pro” and he was asked to cut the words “xreal beam pro” in instead. The cut in audio is so bad.
I took a shot every time he said buten instead of, button.

Ivan tell you dubbed in. “X real beam pro “!!!!!!😂😂😂😂😂
This is Direction. Apple should’ve went in with her Vision Pro. For sure with possible wireless connection . That would be way more affordable for the masses that want something like this.
I’ve been thinking this for a while now. This format is much more accessible and functional even if display quality is compromised a bit.
This tech is in early phases apple never gonna do something thats new they always wait until a tech is well knows and polished after that they came and show people how super they are to created a tech that already exists 5-10 years.
I use my first generation XReal Air glasses daily while my Oculus Quest 2 eats dust on the shelf because I don’t like blindfold bulky form factor. I feel claustrophobic in the blindfold bulky form factor.
same for me
I'm not using an xreal device, and I'm not here to critique this guy's efforts, but I think this is a nice concept, big tech companies are not even trying at this point, at least it's something new to look at, I might buy it as well, I think placing the cameras at a distance is quite a clever move, I'd love to see some videos or pictures captured on it, because I have an expectation that they might look very real.
Watching this on my Beam Pro and XREAL Air 2 Pro glasses. Honestly it's amazing how refined this is already
What are the benefits of using the Beam Pro with an Xreal Air 2 Ultra as opposed to using it with an Xreal Air 2 Pro?
Can you make a video demoing the differences?
XReal air 2 ultra is 6dof environment while xreal air 2 pro is 3dof environment.
@@danielburks6224 I want to see a demo
Definitely looks like a product I would be very much interested. Can I connect it to my Mac laptop and to the office PC laptop Greg? Thank you ☺️
Yeah you can do that with just the glasses
@@GregsGadgets Thank you Greg. I’ll let you know my experience once I play with it a bit. Take care
Hello. You will be able to connect our XREAL Air series AR glasses directly to your MacBook via USB-C cable.
The AVPA provides a richer experience.
That’s no knock on this device, just don’t get it twisted.
There’s far more to the AVP than what’s in this video.
That said, I’d like this device simply because of the greater camera lens separation.
I don’t like that I’d have to convert the output to display it via the AVP (but my 3D tv will love the native SBS format).
Great explanation. 🤘
We totally agree! Greg really showcased some of the awesome features Beam Pro has to offer!
THIS is what Apple should have launched. I would not be surprised if apple copies this or if they acquire this company. Cool tool, needs polishing on the quality of the visuals
This is the way 🙌
Very cool with the built-in stereo cam. Only, I wish the stereo base was a bit wider. It should be at least 60mm to match what you see with your eyes. This one looks more like 40mm. A wider stereo base gives more depth effect.
Hey there! Thanks for the feedback. The lenses are spaced 50mm apart, so they better reflect or mimic the human eye!
@@XREAL_Global Thanks for measuring! 50mm is a bit short, so stereo effect will be limited. Adults have an pupillary distance of somewhere between 60 and 70 mm. To get big scene to really pop, one can go beyond that. But typically stereo cameras have a distance of around 60 mm. Maybe they made it shorter so that people can go closer, like for macros. It'll certainly be easier to handle, and it is way cool that they included a stereo cam.
@@feklee I don't agree about the lens spacing - I think 50mm is ideal, a great compromise that makes closer portraits viable while still providing some depth for landscape type shots. Just try shooting a closeup portrait with a Fuji W3 - the result is pretty much unviewable.
@@XREAL_Global Will the glasses got bigger FOV for next generations ?
Thanks for sharing. Blessings on your day.
Will the glasses got bigger FOV for next generations ?
Hello. Thank you for your question. Our latest pair of AR glasses, the XREAL Air 2 Ultra, has the largest FOV in the Air series at 52 degrees. We are consistently working on methods to improve our devices, and we hope to make greater strides in the future. We appreciate your interest, and we hope that you continue to follow us with your enthusiasm and passion for our devices and for our mission to make AR accessible for all!
No hate but, Why wouldn't I just plug this into my phone? Like if im using dex wouldn't i get a kot of this functionality?
yes before this , that was always an option. i think this is for if you dont want to kill your phone battery.. which is what happened to me
I get it when the resolution is higher.
Anchor mode needs 90 degrees fov at least but smooth follow isn't bad
Thanks for the feedback! We hope you're able to try out Beam Pro soon!

@@nafan-js2ec nothing much .. just stating a fact.

@@jonabitstream they also tried to buy off some tech reviewers in my country and they pay insane amounts of money to let them do pr.. instead of giving a honest view of the product! Their glasses the same.. no ipd adjustments.. lots of people can barely see the screen without blur or cut offs.. but all these UA-camrs have zero problems🤔 yeah right
Loved seeing you try out XREAL Beam Pro! 😎
Come clean. How much money are you guys handing out for these fake reviews?
@@MobileDecay Yeah this is the problem it seems like there are practically zero videos that aren't sponsored/paid/given for free.
@@bluetech2809 They didn't deny it when I asked them about the original Beam. They just responded that it was a great product.
They need to fix the stability
I have a few questions:
1. You mentioned that a Bluetooth keyboard works in spatial mode, but what about a Bluetooth mouse? If it works, how well does it work with the interface? It would be cool to use WowMouse to control the spatial interface with your smart watch.
2. Can you connect other types of displays like a monitor to the Beam Pro? If so, what type of interface does it output; does it just mirror the screen or the spatial OS? Also, do touch screen monitors work?
Thanks
Hello! Thank you for your questions.
1. You will be able to connect a Bluetooth mouse to XREAL Beam Pro to control the device.
2. XREAL Beam Pro can connect with other types of displays like monitors, as Beam Pro supports DP output from the right port and will mirror the screen.
The spatial OS, AR Space only works when connected with XREAL Air series glasses.
@@XREAl_Tech_Supportwanna ask a question. So basically, I could have a device like the TapXR and use the air mouse mode to be able to control the interface kind of like hand tracking? If that is, I’ll buy one right now lol
this is amazing, how is this only 600$ in total
$602 for Air2 Pro + Beam Pro (6GB Ram/128GB Men)
how much did Xreal pay you to make this video?
Why does it sound like the editor is artificially adding in X real beam pro instead of him actually saying it?
Xreal reviewed his video and wouldn't let him post it unless he edited in"Xreal Beam Pro" into it because they control his content and not him.
@@MobileDecay At that point I would just tell them to screw themselves.
@@MobileDecay "partnered with me to check out their new... awkward silence... XREAL Beam Pro" lol
I'm gonna need some really good motivation for the existence of this device. Why can't my existing phone(which is leagues more powerful) handle this processing instead? I have 0 interest in the cameras
Could you please let me know if it's possible to turn off the screen when the device is connected to the glasses? I'm interested in conserving battery life, similar to how the screen can be turned off when using Dex. Thank you for your assistance.
I can wear the AVP for hours. 0:40
I wear glasses. Where can I get the lenses adjusted?
Can I download Netflix and UA-cam videos on this device?
Flat 3D. The 2009 time are back 😂😅 this is the new reinvented 3D = apple spatial
Don’t trust this company or this channel. This is a paid ad.

This product shouldn't exist and just be an app instead.
@@RasenRambo23 it already exists on an app.
@@RasenRambo23 an app can make stereo cameras? :) i hate ai
@@relaxvideo3d Indeed. There are already generative solutions to produce spatial images and videos from conventional inputs that are only getting better over time.
Besides, most newer iPhones have stereo cameras.
I don't understand the benefits for the Beam Pro being touted in this video. You can already plug the Xreal glasses into many phones that have a USB-C plug without the need to buy the Beam Pro and get most of the experience. Even better, no need to carry around yet another device, or setup a new device with all your apps again because your phone is already setup. The only reasons that I see to get a Beam Pro is if: 1) your phone isn't compatible/you really don't want to use your phone, 2) you really want to take spatial photos. Pretty much everything else can be had by just getting the Beam (standard) for almost half the price of the Pro, or just using your compatible phone.
Hello. thank you for your comment. XREAL Beam Pro is our attempt to bridge the gap between our XREAL AR Glasses and the host device. We have developed adapters to help provide more compatibility options for this reason as well. You may continue to use your XREAL AR Glasses with a compatible Android device, along with any other compatible devices.
We developed XREAL Beam Pro to free up, or allow users to use their smartphone as a phone, while reserving XREAL Beam Pro for entertainment and spatial fun.
We hope that you have the opportunity to try out XREAL Beam Pro in the future!
@@XREAl_Tech_Supportif I read between the lines correctly is this device aimed at the iPhone user base? Since Apple compatability us very lacking from my understanding
Does this work with other AR glasses like Viture One?
Why coulldnt they just build an app on the phone to do all of this.. instead of me having to carry another device. Keep another device charged. My phone can do all of this and then some. Maybe spend time getting it working for the s24 ultra and get it working with Windows before moving on...
I’m confused is this also a phone?
Can i use this with the first generation xreal air??
6:33 ..... come on now, this is so dishonest Greg
That wasn't dishonest, I felt like I had an advantage playing against people using phone sized screens
Maaaaaaaaaan come on no matter the size of the screen, 15 frames per second Is an advantage?
@GregsGadgets .. Question : is the new Beam Pro WiFi only or does it have LTE ( sim card slot or something, so i don't have to look for WiFi, when traveling or out and about on the go ??
Hello! Thank you for your question.
There are multiple versions of XREAL Beam Pro: there are two WiFi versions (one with 6GB+128GB and another with 8GB+256GB) and a 5G version.
@@XREAl_Tech_Support .. I don't know if I ordered the LTE version .. ordered the 265 + 8 version , but I would like the LTE version if it has WiFi also , so I won't have any problems when I'm traveling or on the go ..

All android apps can be used?
Hey there! XREAL Beam Pro comes with the Google Play Store, so downloading apps is a breeze!
What Android apps let us view or rent 3D Hollywood movies? Can you make app recommendations?
Hello! As XREAL Beam Pro comes with the Google Play Store installed, you will be able to download a range of streaming applications from the Store. These applications include Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and more.
Vudu is the only legal streaming site that has 3D movies for rent & buying. I can't find a app for it but you can go to the website. Theirs also a lot of 3D videos on youtube you can find by typing in SBS or side by side. The 3D LG videos are really well done.
So I did find a Android app that streams 3D movies. Fandango at Home
I've done more research on this and Vudu/ Fandango at Home is not going to work on android.
Does the Beam Pro work with Viture glasses?

XREAL Beam Pro supports Bluetooth, so you'll be able to connect your controller!
Yes! That's one of the great things about the platform is that you can download all your usual android apps

These do not have the original beam's video passthrough. Otherwise, you connect the same way you would with any other android tablet.

@@undisturbed809 Connect the Beam Pro to your PC? Same as any other android tablet: usb, wifi, or bluetooth. It seems so blindingly obvious, there must be some misunderstanding here.
You can probably plug into a dock and use ethernet if you want. It worked on the original beam.

How is this spatial computing? Obviously what we refer to as spatial computing has a high entry of level cost, but its basic features shouldn’t be ignored because of price point. This is basically just a display, you started no discussion as to how this technology falls short, yet how these steps are necessary to bring spatial computing to the mass market. I’m sorry, but this just looks like glasses with a display, this video is clearly an ad.
Hello, thank you for your feedback. We greatly appreciate hearing from the tech community, and value your opinion. As a start up that is on a mission to make AR and Spatial Computing accessible for the mass market, we are consistently looking for ways to improve what we do.
Our ambition to develop and create tech that is easy to use and easy to understand while presenting our vision for the future of Spatial Computing is what drives us each day and with each product we release.
Thank you again for your feedback, it has sparked great discussion in our team.
The glassess look cheap
This is really shameless Greg. I don't know how you hit the publish button on this video, no matter the size of the check. all of the screen recorded videos were so telling of the limitations of this device. Not at all spatial computing very dishonest video. this might as well become the plastic "VR" smartphone adaptors from 2014 that sold for less than a fidget spinner. Good riddance, unsubscribed.
Sorry you feel that way, but it's a huge improvement over their previous beam unit IMO.
Another bought off UA-camr that does advertising instead of reviewing.. gets put on my blacklist aswell.

It is ok for watching movies on the go but that’s it! All the rest are just lies
Imagine Apple in 200 years or more,AI implants and 5D world.
Unfortunately, XReal is doomed to share the same fate as most good ideas that are before their time. I hope XReal doesn't end up on a ColdFusion video documentary in two years.
They're great display glasses. Anything else... especially in the software front, is pretty much crap. That being said, I'm probably getting the Beam PRO if it allows VR180 videos :P And at least I can make my own 3D content with those cameras.
