My Dad told me so many stories,my Dad is 99 1/2yo.,he said when he was a kid the Barn Dances never had cops because if a couple of Men got into an argument guaranteed there was a Fist Fight(NO GUNS),after the fight they made up & went back to Dancing & Home Brew & Maybe Moonshine If someone had some. The Old Timers Dad said sure Loved their Obereks &Polkas. That was Northern Wisconsin in the 20s & 30s. Maybe it was a better time.

Rodney, just thought I’d put Mr two cents in here from Moqua (sp) . The old Saturday night dances are no more, sad to say. Back in 1948 things seemed much better but one does tend smooth out some of the rougher times and we longingly look back to when we were young.
