Thank you. I saw Furiosa in theaters, and it was great. Most people who are calling it a "girl boss" movie have not even seen it. It's really a shame that Furiosa is not doing well at the box office because this is the type of movie we need, but all these cry babies that haven't even seen it, are the ones who latter complain that Hollywood isn't doing good movie.
Hey everyone, Furiosa and Dune 2 are worth seeing on the biggest screen possible with the best sound systems! It's a badass movie, not a girl boss turd. It's similar to The Road Warrior with action like Fury Road. Chris Hemsworth drives the entire film as Dementus.

So for DUNE 2, I took a bunch of my friends to watch it on IMAX. It was awesome. I just watched Furiosa last week in DBOX, which was also awesome. I'm looking forward to Deadpool 3. Going to the movies can still be fun.

I love this franchise as well. I can't wait to see the new film. The road warrior changed my way of looking at film. After the road warrior i wanted to see all of the ozsploitation movies. Most of the big channels just crap on things for the views. Don't let it bother you Dan. The haters whine the loudest.
There are a fair number of channels that thrive off of the culture wars tactics, used well by political machines for dividing and conquering forever, and seem to attract those who are only interested in disparaging "others" to make themselves look better or feel better about being not so great people themselves.
Yeah, so many of the channels were calling it a woke, girl boss story like the new Star Wars Films with Rey or Amazon's Rangs of Powah. But these channels didn't even watch the movie! How do you make a 20 minute video about a movie you didn't even watch!? It was a great Action Film.
I agree she's not a Girlboss. There was no such scene where she beats up a guy the size of Rictus with her bare arms...er.. arm). She survives by being agile and (mostly) attacking from range. She has a definite story arc where kinda powerless at first, gets mentored by a man (Praetorian Jack) who is better at kicking ass because it's nothing new to him, and BECOMES a badass in her own right. But, within reason. In Fury Road, she still gets her ass kicked by Max when they first meet, but it's established that she's a much better shot with a rifle. But yeah, I really hope the next film in this franchise focuses on Mad Max. I don't even care if it's just Tom Hardy eating soup for 2 hours dressed as Mad Max... I will watch it.
Maybe Max becomes the ruler of souptown? I’d watch that. I really hope we get a final Max movie from Miller. Very good point about her becoming a bad ass as opposed to just automatically being one. Thanks for the comments and thanks for watching!
It's a good movie, 8/10 for me, though I think the biggest mistake is the simple fact it's a prequel. Mad Max is an already niche film saga, and prequels are historically speaking not as successful as the main films. I don't know if Miller knows this, or doesn't care or what.. Imo Miller should have motored on doing more explosive sequels with Charlize and Tom (or someone else playing Max). Get a solid modern day trilogy in place, get that larger loyal fanbase itching for more, and then do the prequels.. That makes way more sense. I didn't even need a Furiosa backstory. Fury Road was good on its own. The mystery somehow adds more to Furiosa. Charlize as Furiosa as well was too iconic for me. While Anya did a pretty good job, I was missing Charlize tbh. I'm Hoping George Miller somehow gets the funding and has the mindset to make a sequel or 2 to Fury Road. It would be the shame of the century to not do that, and I think it's what 99% of the fanbase has wanted all this time. Have it star Max this time, with Furiosa as a lead supporting role. It needs to be done soon if ever too, since everyone is aging.
Definitely sooner better than later for a Fury Road sequel. I really hope it happens too. That would’ve been the safer bet from the beginning I agree. I’m going with 8/10 at the moment too. Thanks for watching.
I dont think we'll see another film sadly. Wasteland, which was going to be millers final max movie was contingent on how well this did in theaters. Suffice it to say, the franchise has very likely died with this entry. I would love to be wrong though
I swore when I saw what they did to Max in the last movie that I wouldn't watch another "A Mad Max" Film again. So I don't care if it's good or bad, they pissed on Max and swapped him out. No thanks

just saw it the 2nd time. as a huge miller fan, I Love it. Too bad so many peeps, specifically doods, are not seeing this because they think "ah fuk, another girl boss movie." It's not. She earns her stripes and gets taken in by a maxesque dood that mentors her. A praetorian that teaches her to become the praetorian we see in fury road. Not very girl boss-like seeing a lady needs a dood and a dood is shown to be dominant in this narrative and in that dynamic. I blame mostly hollywood for putting out too many actual "girl boss" and "it wasnt made for you" "i dont need no man" "fight the patriarchy" films and narratives surrounding them, pushed by insufferable elites with neo feminist attitudes and views. But I also blame the dudes who let themselves be conditioned by those things where they became blindly reactive to where they chose this movie, a non boss lady movie, to say eff u to hollywood. It's a shame. I too became a fan as a little kid watching road warrior re runs on tv. I have a framed poster of max and the dog walking down the high way in my room. No text. Just the image of max and the dog.

Furiosa isn't a GirlBoss, Mary Sue or a Bad Movie, but remember, people today are already tired of the "Strong Female Character" , there're so many bad movies with female character nowadays that when one really good as Furiosa is released many will refuse to watch for this reason, they probably will thought "here we go again, another GirlBoss movie"
Exactly - collateral damage. Like it’s possible one the many “unstoppable female assassin” movies is pretty good but the larger pattern they’re following chases people away.
Saw it at IMax the other day. It's a solid film with great action scenes and Furiosa herself was a well rounded character. Certainly wasn't anything as cliched as a girlboss trope and its basically becoming a cliché in itself to apply that critique to any film with a lead that isn't a bloke or straight etc. This film is certainly beyond such tokenism. The gender of characters shouldn't really matter - a well written story is a well written story.
