Scissors, extra inserts (great for when one of them gets eaten by the machine), bunch of different thumb and thumbhole tapes in varying surfaces/release speeds ... velcro wrist strap (especially if you find yourself suddenly bowling a format that is longer than you're accustomed to and you can't wait for the Aleve to hit)
This is what is in my accessories bag. Sanding pads, slide sock, spare slide sock, booties/shoe covers, toolkit + nail clipper, cleaning spray, cleaning cloth, thumb tape, finger tape, rosin bag, baby powder, ball cup. I don't roll in league during the summer, but I practice, substitute, and roll a few tournaments.
Just got all new grips in all my balls, went up in size so I can go to my second knuckle. My Axiom solid cracked more (it was already cracked) and my OG Zen is retired. Need something to fill that Symmetrical Pearl Gap now.
Stealth Hybrid would be a great pick to replace your Zen, very similar reaction. Original Hazmat would be great too, I don't think Storm currently has anything that's all that close to the OG Zen.
@@LukeRosdahl Sadly :( I recently got the new EJ Venom drilled. Im loving the ball motion of that. Wonder if something in the Motiv line would be similar.
Maybe a video on how having max revs in your game doesn’t always mean it’s best for you? I am a two hander and at max I’m 530 revs. But I find that if I do a release that’s more comfortable and easier to maintain with about 450 revs it usually translates to bigger scores for me. I think some people try to force things(myself included)
Just started bowling 3 months ago. What is the best way to join a league and how will I know if i’m good enough? Don’t want to let a team down with the dreaded gutter ball.
There are always leagues for beginners, or just casual leagues that have all kinds of different skill levels in them. Talk to your local bowling alley and see what kind of leagues they have and if there are any teams that need an extra person. Our mixed league on Friday nights has bowlers that average under 100 all the way up to 240, but everyone is just there for fun so it doesn't really matter.
I'm setting up my arsenal for an upcoming tournament and was looking for a ball that had a similar cover to the sublime but had a smaller core. I currently have a scorpion low flare that I was going to shine up and try. Is that a good idea or should I get a ball like the road instead?
Hey Luke, If at all possible can you do a video on storms rough and smooth edge compounds on a ball spinner? I know you used step two, do you still use it? Thanks bro, appreciate all you do to make us better bowlers.
I've been meaning to for a while but it's been hard to fit it in. The Rough seems really close to step 2, the smooth is more like step 3 or reacta shine.
Hi Luke! Can you help me a bit on ball choice on a dried (5 to 6 match) of a house shot? I don't know if it is my play style but if I take some shine balls they just do hockey stick or go dead on the track of urethanes. I hope I explained well lol ty and good luck!
Depends on what shiny balls you're using, they come in very different strengths. Sometimes a bunch of shine isn't great either, sometimes a little surface helps blend the lanes out. You may not be playing in the right place either, and especially if there's urethane going down the lane, you'll need a whole different strategy. You can't really swing the lane, especially with something shiny, when you're following urethane. Generally, something like the Tundra Blue Fire is really good on drier conditions, but I don't think it'd do well after urethane, especially shiny.

Good stuff
Small flathead screwdriver is a great tape remover and applicator. Much better visibility
I use a pair of small gardening snips for cutting tape, and when I swap thumb hole tape they also work great to emplace new tape and remove old tape!
green scouring pads and magic erasers. great for use as surface. magic erasers are especially great for cleaning.
Not doing a league this year. Kids are super busy with their own activities. Kind of bummed, but still committing to trying to get out each week
I was gonna do a video like this tomorrow lol you beat me to it lol
I'm a Packers' fan and Rodgers is still the man!

Forge Ember or Nuclear Forge would be in the neighborhood I'd think.

I went and watched several tournaments last year and it seemed like half of them were in competition to see who can throw it the hardest and fastest.

Hi there i wanted to ask what is best to use on your slide sole for sticky approaches
More slippery slide soles lol. Now if you don't have interchangeable slide pads, a slide stone will definitely help.

I think the Road or Lightning Blackout would be more along the lines of what you're looking for.
Thanks man. Appreciate all you do. Keep on staying away from the kool-aid 😂

I keep tweezers in my thumb tape pack. Gives precise location in the thumb hole.
If you bowl with a female, make sure to bring snacks so it doesn’t get cranky.
