I met Brian in Gerrard Cross in summer 1976. My buddy and I were a couple of American kids and we hung out with him at a local pub. We had some unforgettable laughs with him and his boxer body guard. He left a impression of being a really deep melancholy thinker. This guy was a amazing talent and never acted stuck up. We even had him over and we played ping pong he treated us like friends and not like fans.
Just discovered the Sweet in 2017 and I find myself listening to all their magical music. It takes me to a happy place. Every member of this band is heaven sent. I especially love Brian...very interesting story of his life. Wish he could have met his biological mom. Steve Mick and Andy are incredible musicians too....great group!!!! R.I.P. beautiful Brian, handsome Mick and gorgeous Steve....back in heaven as you were on loan to us from God. We Love you all so much and miss you forever💖💖💖🎶🎶🎶😽😽😽💘💘💘💒💒💒❤️❤️❤️💞💞💞
Brian has always been my favourite pop/rock frontman. Thanks for this fine tribute . A couple of years ago I contacted my local radio DJ ( Jerry Lang U105) concerning the 9th of Feb marking BC's death and he kindly played several of Sweet's hits throughout the course of the 4hr broadcast that night and talked about Brian on his show. On a previous occasion I also had the privilege of having a Top 10 of my favourite tunes played on this show and my favourites kicked off with 'Love is Like Oxygen' !
Yes I agree. Much more handsome than any of the others, specially Andy Scott. Steve Priest and the drummer were good looking too, but B.C. was in a class of his own, he was like an angel! Andy Scott was nowhere near as good looking or good personality wise as the other three. He was quite ugly. That's why Steve Priest and Scott aren't friends. Scott was horrible to Brian and was jealous of him because he was good looking, while Scott was ugly. Steve Priest loved Brian, as a friend - and still does. RIP Brian Connolly. 😢😘😢😘😢

Rock and Roll greatness can be dangerous to one's well being. Brian lived it close to the edge and it cost him. But we are all the richer for his willingness to test the limits, leaving us with a strange combination of sadness and gratefulness. God speed Brian Connolly.
True... Brian drank and smoked too much and ruined his health. But he was also attacked and kicked in the throat, which caused him to be hospitalised in the 1970s. It ruined his voice for a while, but he managed to get it back somewhat. It's sad what happened to him, very sad.
Everyone it's not fair I fancy brian Connolly like mad he was so handsome and sexy and so was Andy Scott and Mick Tucker and Steve priest God I would of like to see sweet in 70s on top of the pops and and the other pop shows in England and in counter in England and I want to be brain Connolly and Andy Scott and Mick Tucker and Steve priest girlfriend too
