- Cast and creators of AMC's Better Call Saul gather at PaleyFest LA 2016 to celebrate their show. Topics include: constructing the "middle section" of Jimmy turning into Saul Goodman; inspiration from the documentary "Crumb," which profiles cartoonist Robert Crumb and his troubled brother; Gilligan's view that happy endings are "boring"; the difficulty of "long-term" planning; accommodating actors' natural aging when shooting flashback scenes; the decision to frequently remove dialogue for emotional impact; and the import of not "overdoing" cameos from Breaking Bad characters.
Patrick Fabian does seem like the nicest man alive.
+1 👍
"There's really no need to "
Wdym. All I see is HOWARD HAMLIN
there's an amazing interview by an Australian podcaster that you should check out its the most down to earth personable interview I've ever watched Patrick seems like the coolest guy someone I'd love to have as a genuine friend
The sad thing is, he really is, but you don't buy it because of his fake Howard smile
So glad to finally see this in its entirety; thanks for posting!
Always saw Jimmy McGill as a lawyer who became a con man but he's actually a con man who became a lawyer
This is enjoyable, but the volume is SO low!
At first I thought it was something wrong with my phone
i had to watch it in my pc@@Slice2099
Volume too low for a production of this caliber. Up the volume to increase your donations to the Paley Center
39:47 how is bob so effortlessly handsome?!
Bob? Who's Bob?? That's clearly Kevin Costner
Genius writers
I wanna see the 2022 panel so bad cmon plsss
So Good!
It’s interesting to hear Peter talk about the model of the Crumb brothers from Crumb for Jimmy and Chuck. Especially if Jimmy is unto Harry as the functional damaged genius and Chuck is unto his brother as the dysfunctional damaged genius. I heard Vince talk about Michael McKean adding such intelligence to Chuck that they decided to give the character a more stable and domineering life prior to his downfall. In this the character really separates from the general template of Crumb who’s brother never functioned in the real world efficiently. It also highlights why Jimmy is so desperate to impress him and take care of him, he really looked up to Chuck.
Masterpiece.
'Gilligan's view that happy endings are "boring"'
oh...................................... oh no
I think what he meant there is that the happy lives after the drama are boring
@@dvirarazi7351 i know what he meant, i was worried about better call saul ending sadly lol. i'm 100% satisfied with how it ended tho
43:46 .....Mhmm, that didn't age very well. Lmfao

That Indian guy who gave up everything to make the better call Saul video game is my idol
The sound is SO low o__o
Is this video designed only for people with the hearing of bats? Would it kill you and your families to turn up the levels a little?
What happened to the board game?
Where is Jonathan Banks?
It took until Season 5 for him to be Saul Goodman 33:00 | Not a complaint , just an observation.
It vaas
Why is the video so quiet?
Rhea ❤❤❤
22:27 only to run into someone much worse
Eat a pie with Rhea.ok thanks.
That burn Cream is really working good on Chuck
I see what you did there.
The panel leader looks like Anna gunn if she aged like 20 years.
22:30 or worse....

12:50, 13:59,
Terrible audio, such a shame.
The adaptable frog unfortunately breathe because end possibly surround over a unique plough. outstanding, receptive processing
Interesting conversation, hampered by awful sound. Like bargain brand cassette tape recorded over for the 47th time awful.
Banal questions. The host may have watched the show but she doesn't understand the show. Not a real fan. Typical Hollywood.
Who is the interviewer? She is terrible! Her accent and speech pattern sounds like a teenager. Why was she picked. I gave up watching because I couldn't stand it.
the hostess should have chosen a more appropriate clothing. Her skin is so GROSS 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
just like your mindset. grow up or, at the very least, keep your mouth shut.
