The government should’ve been able to track her winnings. They don’t miss anything when it comes to your income. And maybe she wasn’t aware of the rules. When someone wins the lottery, it’s a gift. I understand she could afford food with her winnings, but maybe she was getting food stamps even before that. I feel that would be someone’s doing working for the social services department for not catching that as part of her income. That’s just my thoughts on it.
