I've always loved her name and wondered where she was and how she's doing. In the late 80s, me and my brother got on an elevator at the Flamingo in Vegas and she and another lady was on their way down. She was dressed in a sparkling gold dress and looked stunning. She was so nice and down to earth. Me and my brother was tongue tied but she did all the talking...we'll never forget that elevator ride. Bless her and thanks for the memories.
Ms. Falana is one of the most talked about entertainers from here time and era. Which as Terry said pave the way for black female entertainers today. At 78 she still has the same pretty smile. I grew up in the 60s and remember her well. To Terry, the host of this Channel, it is painful to hear you mispronounce her last name. The video you showed has the lead singer introduce her and he says her name correctly. How difficult is it for you just to repeat what he said? She is such an icon from my childhood who deserves to have her name said correctly.

Here in Italy everybody love her and remember her songs in Italian language, the movies she played in our country (even a Western Spaghetti titled Lola Colt) and her tv shows on the Italian tv channel in the 60's and 70's.

If I had to describe Lola's talent during her hay day she was a cross between Diahann Carroll, Shirley Bassey and Tina Turner. She was beautiful, sophisticated, stylish and when she performed she gave 100%.

Cuban?! She has a "yoruba" name. Her first name "Lola" and last name "Falana" are both yoruba names. Perhaps our people still keep their native names is Cuba.. one love y'all 💯👌🏾

Many Americans don't know that Lola Falana has a strong emotional and professional bond with Italy. Here in Italy everybody love her and remember her songs in Italian language, the movies she played in our country (even a Western Spaghetti titled Lola Colt) and her tv shows on the Italian tv channel in the 60's and 70's.
Before great choreographers like "Big Les", "Paula Abdul", "Drea Kelly", "Jennifer Lopez" & " Eishi from Arrested Development" it was Lola Falona. She not just a great dancer but she was a 70s sexy symbol. Remember the "Good Times" episode where J.J. ideal woman he mentioned Lola? She was one of a kind. I'm glad she still with us. She certainly a dance legend.
