There's very little information about the replacement tram cars, but from diagrams and illustrations on the peak tram website it looks to preserve the general colour and style of the outgoing generation.

Probably the oldest in the world. I ride with my parents and younger brother in the green trams in the mid 1960's when we were very young.

I think I may see it already upgraded and back up and running as I am due back to Hong Kong in *2026 for the next family reunion (Not planning to go anywhere else from there as my Grandfather is too old for long haul air travel due to cabin pressure being deleterious to his health)
February 2026 is his 100th birthday

The cinematic at the end… amazing! Reminds me of another Hong Kong channel, 鉄道空想。maybe you’ve heard of him before?

Oh, Rail Reverie! Yes, I'm subscribed to them. Their video on the East Rail Line SP1900 retirement is what inspired the cinematics at the end, although I still have a lot to learn to reach that quality!

@@hiddenhongkong actually I think your quality is dramatically improved recently. Just a bit more practice and you’ll probably be better than him!
