Good find! I started collecting 60's and 70's Schwinn's about a year ago. My favorites are the Continental, Varsity, Suburban, Speedster and the Super Sport. The one you have is equipped with Shimano's Forward Freewheel system, which places the freewheel mechanism on the chainring instead of the rear cassette. I have one Schwinn that is equipped with this system, and I liked it for a while because of its uniqueness in not having to pedal to change gears, but I've found that I enjoy the traditional freehub and friction shifters a lot more. The FFF system ended up being too hard to maintain and its drivetrain isn't nearly as smooth as my other Schwinn's with traditional freewheel and friction shifters. It'll definitely sell though as most people like them. Thanks for your video!
I've been into the resto hobby for a year. Goodwill and even the co-ops charge too much in my area. My tip is to look through marketplace a couple times a day for the new ones that pop up. I have a limited edition Schwinn Badlands showing up today cost me $30. She said 20 because it needed new tires on the second message I told her if she brings it by the house she can have the full 30. My worst fear is I'm going to like it! I get these things for parts and I just fix them because I don't have the heart to cannibalize them I'm going to force myself into the bike flipping game.
My Father gave me his Schwinn varsity when I was fourteen. It was black and it had fenders. They were fast and I would ride it many miles until I got my driver's license.
$40.00 for a Schwinn Varsity in complete and original condition, is without any doubt a “ Bargain Bike”. With a bit of attention, i.e. route the brake cables properly and re- wrap the bar tape, and the Varsity is good to go ! Awesome deal on a solid bike !
I like your narration of this Schwinn bicycle, yes I agree that someone really cared for this bicycle. Thank you for this video.

Nice find , i started collecting with a 67 Schwinn racer now at 22 bikes and no sign of stopping...
That’s a lot of bikes! They are so cool though!
The high flange front hub looks nice! The frame could be rebuilt for a daily use winter bike or singlespeed
Winter bike lol! No thanks! :)

La compré en San Francisco Calf . En el año de 1990 cuando fui a pasear y visitar a un hermano la compré en una venta de garage en n 5 dolores
en cuanto la tienes valorada
Tengo una igual
excelente
They didn’t care about the bike, they just set it in the garage and forgot about it.
I agree!
This is where you find out who is who.
Hmmmmm, it has the front freewheel system, I'd pass.
