It's easy and fun to use. I fill the reservoir with a 3% hydrogen peroxide solution. Using my water pic was messy and flossing was a chore. The Air Floss leaves my mouth feeling clean and fresh. The H2O2 solution disinfects, whitens, and the foaming action helps to remove debris. It also eliminates the need for tip change. I put it back on the charger base after each usage and I've had no problem with the battery. I highly recommended the Air Floss.

Sorry, I really don't know..I'd ask the person who fitted your braces. It works fine for me...i'm sure that it's not as efficient as floss...but it's a lot easier and better than nothing.

Not sure you are correct, I have a oral-b electric toothbrush which has that bathroom plug and it doesn't fit in a normal European plug, the rods are a bit closer together and are a bit thicker.

The first Phillips AirFloss I got was a year ago, which stopped working in six weeks. I used mouthwash because it said I could but from what my dentist and the lady on the phone at Phillips, that may caused it to stop working by clogging the tubing system. It took several months to get a replacement as there was a back order. That one worked for six months but the same thing happened...no spray but just a high pitched beep instead. I used bottled H2O to prevent any residue in the tubing system this time. The idea of doing this is prefect but the produce isn't perfect.

i have been using waterpik for years. Can't do without them. The problem with waterpik is as already mentioned here and I like to add that the hose does not last long and will break after a year or so. And you can't just replace the hose. It comes with the holder as well. I just bought this air floss and eagerly await for it to arrive. Good video and a professional voice.

  • @Techmoan
    @Techmoan  12 років тому +1

@darkstonecastle None of these types of thing do as good a job as real flossing, because they don't slide between the gum and the teeth like a string of floss would.....That being said though, I much prefer this to my older device. It's quicker and I don't get a stream of water flowing back along my arm.

Plaque is different to tartar and calculus. It's more easily removed. Dentists themselves use air and water when they examine and clean teeth.

Bought my first one for proffesional courtesy price $CAD 78 back in January 2012. Use it until the battery died in September. Because it is past 90 days, no money refunded only 3 years warranty. I have been exchanging back and forth since. This is my 4th ones and the 5th is coming. 2 of mine is for patient handheld, and the last one that only last 2 usage and died, was professional trial handheld. Hence, the CS complaint and the product it self. Asked about product follow up...but nothing.

No they are not. It's the UK bathroom plug that has slightly fatter pins and they are a bit closer. You can't plug that into outlets in other countries.

we still have one from Imetec that is powered by mains and has a big tank for water, but is pretty cheaply made (is like 12 years old right now) and the small pump is so cheap it broke off after 3 years of use.
It doesn't use much water anyway, but speed can be regulated pretty nicely

I am a dental professional. I highly recommended NOT to buy this product due to its BAD battery.
After 4 handheld replacements, last one only lasted 2 times used
The patient handheld lasted longer 3-4 months. I asked if they find out what was wrong with the product, but they say they wouldn't know because they are sent back to ware house and tossed. Not the first time using sonicare. But certainly will be the last time considering product and customer service. Waste of my time.

That's a bit of a rip-off. In Australia, all electronic goods must come with 12 months store warranty, where the customer can choose replacement, repair or refund if the device fails within the 12 months. Often things come with an extended manufacturer's warranty that only covers repair or replacement, but that's in addition to the statutory 12 months warranty.

    • @Themoigt
      @Themoigt 8 років тому +2

I'm not an expert or anything and I have no clue of medicin but I think high pressure water shouldnt cause any damage, and the philips waterpick uses more air than water, thats why it gets 60 shots so u wont have any problem

DON'T BUY THIS! Mine was faulty! And Philips, having initially
promised to give full refund of £99, later changed their minds and have
offered me first £75 and later just £25. Their reason was initially
      because I had used it!
How would I have known it was faulty if I hadn't tried to use it ?!!
I am disabled and thought this would help me keep my teeth clean, but it just caused pain and bleeding. The pressure is much too great. I stopped gave it a couple of days and tried again - same pain and bleeding. After 3rd time of trying I gave up.
Water pressure MUCH too great ! (other brands have variable control)
I do not have gum disease. I have flossed regularly for 40 years and my dentist tells me how well I keep my teeth clean.
I was told to send it back.
I explained that the second fault was that I could no disconnect the attachment head so would be unable to get it back into the packaging. Finally very understanding woman called Anna Bloom asked me to just pack it up best I could and that I would get full refund.
      I did this as asked.
After they had received it, a different and much less understanding person told me that he would only offer me £75. I explained I had had a very full interrogation by his colleague and the decision reached. He ignored that. He was quite rude.
He also told me it's ok to sell a product which makes perfectly healthy gums bleed !
He also told me it's ok to sell a product which makes perfectly healthy gums bleed !
Even a nurse has to have special extra training etc to break the skin of a patient
      - causing (healthy) people to bleed is WRONG!
Later another customer service worker offered me just £25 - they now say this is because it is out of warranty.
New excuse not to do the right thing.
This understanding woman, Anna Bloom, has NOW DISAPPEARED from the company. I am worried for her. I am worried that she has been sacked for what she told/promised me. They just said she is no longer employed by them.
I also want my money back as they have the faulty airfloss.

Cool device, but it's not as good as regular floss for certain things like corn or meat.
    Nice watch btw! Breitling ftw.

Károly Holczhauser, I absolutely LOVE this, it works really well, and if you were looking to buy one, I would highly recommend it. I have great faith in Philips products :-)
