- I'm in Madeira, Portugal photographing some seascape and woodland. It can be a humbling experience doing landscape photography in these places.

"Another photographer pointed out this frame of the trees." That was me. 😆
Hi!! Thanks!
With the music in this one, I was expecting Steve Mattheis to walk into frame
I was thinking the same. Yet no great grey owls in Madeira
I liked the seascapes the trees is already Thomas Heaton territory 😁
Hahsha
Loved the sea shots. The fog did improve the highlands!
Thanks George!
I have so many good memories from Madeira (not many good photos), and your videos made me want to go back there again. Thanks for coming back to UA-cam and all the inspiration.
Thanks for watching! And, yes, you need to go back!
I like the framed cliche photo ahah Good that you took it anyway
It's a nice photo!
You should also visit the smaller island of the Madeira archipelago, Porto Santo. Small but full of photo locations, especially at sunrise and sunset.
Yup. It's definitely on my list!
Lovely episode Brendan - and love your low-viz jacket - you practically disappear into the background 🙂
Yeah, it's important to me to be one with nature. 😂
Excellent as usual Brendan, really like the fogy 'tree family ' image. Thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks!
Love that forest and "family" is fantastic!
Thanks!
Yeah the pano shot is great. For me though I would use some dehaze in lightroom for a bit more contrast.
Looks to much like a raw image for me.
But great place for sure. Moved up on my list a lot!
Ribeira de Janela is one of my favourite spots - those stacks are so photogenic. I've been to Fasnal twice, and no mist either time! Hoping for some next trip, in 2 weeks time.
Good luck with the fog!
Your selling me on this island, looks like some interesting landscapes 👍👀
Dude, it's awesome
Great images, what L-bracket are you using, does it have an opening for flip screen, if so do you have issues with clamping it in the arca Swiss holder.
It's the 3leggedthing L bracket. It has a space for the LCD and it clips to the arca swiss.
Hey Brendan, love your videos, was wondering what camera you are using?
Canon R6 these days
Are you in Iceland?
Haha, feels like it. Except more variety!
Go back to your tree shots and think black and white film or have some fun in DXO's time machine. These sort of images, it is about looking for the soul of the image, not a reduction of colour or space.
