@@SicSemperBeats I'm a biology student now and I feel silly that I was inspired to do this because of pop-culture characters being geneticist... Apocalypse, Albert Wesker. Genetic engineering seemed so cool and interesting. Additionally all the articles about Crispr, Cas9 and all that genetic editing stuff made it even more interesting too. May I ask which major you switched to? EDIT: By the way, I've read that Kevin wanted to do genetics because he read and was a fan of the Fantastic Four.
Subject 8 bro i did a 360. I’m a 3rd year econ student. In all honesty i took engineering major because i was offered a full ride scholarship to GA Tech and i had a small business repairing and building computers for people in Atlanta so i thought it was fitting but when i got into the basic material it was WAY over my head lol. I love Blue Marvel. I love his backstory, and I love the way they rewrote the history of the Marvel universe, similar to the way they did with the Sentry.
It actually doesnt make any sense Blue Marvel would be asked to step down , more likely he became a member of SHIELD . It is way more possible that Blue Marvel was is , and always has been a secret potential founder of SHIELD. This would make way more sense as this would explain his very very secretive lore , and explain why even Reed Richards doesn't know much about him. This would also explain why Nick Fury would not spy on Blue Marvel as he was literally part of SHIELD , and wouldnt need spying upon as Nick Fury already knew where he was at all times.
Wow! only one minute into the video I’m amazed because although did I not know this man’s name or contributions behind the screen, I am familiar with him but I thought he was only an actor. Thanks for this information. As a nube black comic book fan My mind is blown learning about his accomplishments and contributions he’s made behind the scenes.
Mr420Spy I wouldn’t classify either of those characters the way you did. Black Panther in particular wasn’t an isolationist. He was first a man trying to avenge his father’s death. Then a new King trying to live up to his father’s legacy. Once his eyes were opened to the sins of his father and Wakanda, he decided to chart a new path. That’s a solid character arc. Blue Marvel will need something equally as compelling.

I’m a white man. Blue Marvel is one of the best. I think everybody should have a superhero that they can relate to on every level.
Thank you for sharing that and being so supportive.
Wow you are so progressive! You're right all the black character should be really stronger than white and they should be respected more! That way We can satisfy misplaced white guilt.
See this how we become a nation, no matter what skin color your in we are all 1. Support each other and we will be a better people #✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽✊🏼✊🏻✊
S Allen Nobody said that 😐
Even Karen as Captain marvel?
I've never heard of this character. But I really like the back story and the dilemma of that time. Can't wait for the next one. Thanks for the hardwork Rob!

YES! I didn't know this series of videos existed. Thanks, Rob!
I never comment, but this is great, a look into "the maker" would be great. Loved that storyline.
Somebody call Ryan Coogler and get him to direct a Blue Marvel film immediately
@transcendentmuzic lol, Ryan's going to get sick of Marvel if they try to have him launch another character's origin story!
lol nahh give another black director a chance , Ryan already has his franchise with Black Panther 💯
@@hecantguardme15 Blue Marvel can't become the next live action Avatar The Last Airbender or Dragonball Evolution. Let's not take unnecessary chances with a beloved title... 😂

Thank you so much Rob. This is my favorite character and my favorite team (Ultimates) and my favorite series (the Ultimates)
I was super mad an hour ago. Super mad, fuming mad, about to take all out on the first person who confronted or called me. I rolled a joint and started watching this and I forgot all about it.. well until he said he was ending the video which made me come back to reality, but a new one started right away. thank you.
Glad you did this one! That's my guy!
THIS IS A SUPER-DOPE VIDEO!! GREAT JOB ON THE NARRATION / COMMENTARY!!!
Kevin were ever you are thank you so much for the BLUE MARVEL you have my respect 👍🏿👍🏿👊🏿
Here 4 years later to say that blue marvel is the GOAT
Agreed
I’m only 26 mins in and this is one of the best stories I’ve seen. This would be such an amazing movie. Way better than the background story for The Sentry
True
Thank you...I needed some kind of inspiration in this world
I've watched or listened to this quite a few times now and have to say it's a really good story.
I never knew how much I loved and needed Blue Marvel in my life. Thank you Rob
MY favorite Marvel Character since discovering him..so underrated and underappreciated..and undoubtedly one of the most O.P characters in Marvel Universe..
It sounds like you're talking about Sentry. Another incredible op.
Man Robs old style of reading was smooth AF
As someone who switched their major from genetic engineering I know Kevin is a genius. It’s dope that we have guys like that in our comic culture. Legend
What job's can you do as a genetic engineer?
Subject 8 exactly why i changed lol. Nonetheless you have to be a damned robot to complete the later classes trust me i know guys who are still studying. Engineering programs aren’t for the weak
Econ (while extremely less complicated) comes naturally now and I’m actually kinda hyped to start internships. But yea i know exactly how you feel with getting a major for a silly reason. I wasted at least a year of my life lol
Maaaaan....that music choice in the background @18:00....is perfect.
I love Blue Marvel. I love his backstory, and I love the way they rewrote the history of the Marvel universe, similar to the way they did with the Sentry.
Thankfully we cured all racism hooray.
for any who didn't notice that comment was sarcasm once more sarcasm
Great video ROB TASTEFULLY DONE.... Thank you.... Blue Marvel is so dope.
Honestly after this. I wonder if you can do a CE on Isaiah Bradley: the second? Captain America and a major part in Project Rebirth.
Dude Rob this is one of the greatest stories ever told thank you son much Big Fan of your work it’s like going to church but comics
47:30 homeboy went from 0 to 1000 REAL QUICK
Definitely my favorite video from you. We needed this Rob💯🖤

This is one of the best comic runs I have ever seen. Unbelievable writing!
This needs to be shared again due to the chaos lately
@J Foster nah itd never sit well with the black community cause it goes against everything being spread right now
Luv that you put the WHOLE story together Rob my man. Luvd this back then and even more so now.Thx for that B.Marvel HEAT! 🔥🔥🔥
Al Ewing introduced the fact that Adam Brashear was engaged in “Doc Savage” style science adventures sown his down period from being Blue Marvel
Thank you for your videos and contents. Thank you for this video
I got a 1st print trade paperback that I am waiting for Kevin Grevioux to sign. Then I'm gonna case it. Love this writing.
Hearing this really makes me recall how many WELL written stories have come from comic books. Sentry is a top 5 for his origin story alone
I just saw Blue Marvel so i came running!!!🤓🙆🏾♂️🚀❤
Wow! only one minute into the video I’m amazed because although did I not know this man’s name or contributions behind the screen, I am familiar with him but I thought he was only an actor. Thanks for this information. As a nube black comic book fan My mind is blown learning about his accomplishments and contributions he’s made behind the scenes.
I’m rewatching this video because I’ve got wind that the mcu might do a teaser by phase 6
Rob, you've outdone yourself with this script. Keep it up bruh
Rob could you cover Dakotaverse's Icon?
“I don’t need to hear guilty lamentations for sins you didn’t commit.” Wise words
Loving the content 💯🙏🏾🔥
Thanks so much for this video!!! I just saw it!!! Keep up the amazing work man!!!!😌✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
Blue marvel's helmet looks like the helm of nabu
Yoooooo love your channel bro!! Thanks for the awesome content!
I would love to see what the MCU could do later on in phase 6 or so with a modern Blue Marvel character
Thank you for this Rob
I’d love to see the MCU bring this character to the big screen.
Mr420Spy Yea. I’m pretty sure Disney isn’t concerned with that. Captain Marvel did alright despite some assholes complaining on the internet.
