We loved to watch your video, it reminded us of how much we loved it in Oslo Norway 🇳🇴...we agree 👍 the Viking ship museum is a MUST💟! WE had planned to go back late Aug 2020...unfortunately they put border up 2days prior to our travel 😔 so we postponed to May 2021 but i think 🤔 its not going to be happening either...Anyway when that happens we will be straight back to see those famous artifacts and viking ships ...the museum is small but sooooo incredible...🤩😍 if I remember well they(scientists)are working on more artifacts that need reconstruction and preserving and they are due to extend this museum quite a bit😊 Lovely oslo videos and Svalbard thank you for sharing SabrinaFromLondon 🇬🇧
Thank you so much for your kind words! It's wonderful to hear that our video brought back fond memories of your time in Oslo, Norway. The Viking Ship Museum is indeed a remarkable experience, and we're sorry to hear about the travel disruptions you faced due to the border closures. Hopefully, in the near future, you'll have the opportunity to revisit and explore the museum once again. The ongoing work to preserve and reconstruct artifacts is truly fascinating, and an extended museum sounds like a fantastic development. We're glad you enjoyed our videos from Oslo and Svalbard. Safe travels whenever your adventure continues! 🌍✈️
I can easily spend a few hours, if not, the full morning OR the full afternoon at the Folks Museum. It is so big, and so many interesting things to check out! And one of my favorite things to learn about is the Vikings, so I spend around 3 hours here. It is a small museum, but it is just fascinating. I would say if you are not in any time crunch, spend the full day at the Peninsula, and perhaps you can see three different places here! Although there's not so much food option once you get here, so either plan on purchasing food at the museums, or bring some of your own!
Prices 2023 Oslo Pass 24h: 495 NOK Vs. Public Transport: 117 NOK Frammuseum: 140 NOK Norsk Folkenmuseum: 180 NOK Total = 437 NOK So no, for the stuff you did it is not worth it. Add one museum then its worth it.
Hmm here's the information on that: Student discount: 20 % student discount only applies to students under 30 years of age with a valid student ID card with photo and semester card, or a valid ISIC card (not ISIC bank card). The discount does not apply to high school students. To get the discount you must buy your Oslo Pass at Oslo Visitor Centre or from Ruter's Customer Service Centre at Oslo Central Station.

Excellent tour!

Thank you :)
How long did you spend there? We also want to see the Fram Museum, but not sure if it would be too much in one day. Thoughts?

Unfortunately the Viking ship museum is closed for 3 years now, due to rebuilding.
I've heard!
that's sad one of the main reasons why I wanted to visit.

Good to know!
Is it right that there is only student discount if you are college student and it not applies to high school students?
