2:20 There's an important lesson to be learned here. When you park your motorcycle, never have it face towards a slope, even a slight one. If you do so, it will "roll" off the kickstand. Putting it in gear, does not always prevent that, since it can still roll forward a bit sometimes and a few centimeters is all it needs. Take the time to turn it around and make sure it faces hillwards.

5:35 those aftermarket brake levers are deadly they pinch the brake lines and lock front brakes always avoid these cheap Chinese brake and clutch levers I’ve seen this happen many times with these
5:30 It’s the cheap Chinese brake levers they are notorious for locking up the front brake I have seen this more than a dozen times switch back to your stock brake handles and clutch handles

Was taught from a young age to learn from other peoples mistakes rather than learning from your own. good advice it was.

I've been riding for 36 yrs, and I've noticed some common things in these vids. Many of the vehicle to bike crashes could have been avoided if you follow some advice. NEVER be comfortable. Be PARANOID but not scared. ALWAYS assume if something bad CAN happen (ie. some a-hole pulling out in front of you) it will. And lastly, practice emergency braking and turning. many of these riders go down because they grab a handful of front brake. My 2010 Harley FLHTCU has anti-lock brakes, but I spent many hours on my old 1976 FLHT shovelhead practicing this. Even though %80 or more braking power is on the front brake, stomp on the rear first, then quickly apply increasing front brake pressure. Once that front wheel slides, as you can see you go down quick and hard.
Keep the sticky side down, be safe. Murphy's Law ALWAYS applies!

Worst bike advice I ever came across, these fools need practice front brake as thats the one that stops you, stomping on the rear causes lockup, skidding, if you're already skidding down the road on that rear and you haul the front then both wheels are skidding as you've already unloaded the front. Stick with ABS you need it, I'm 44 years on sportbikes, trailbrake constantly into corners and have never locked the front up since I was a learner.

TeKaMOTO was just about to say that... someone drove past me when I came off my CBR in the middle of the night on country roads.... was there for about 15 minutes before someone finally stopped....
Pretty sure it's the same where I'm from. First on the scene of an motor vehicle accident has a duty to help, even if they were not involved in the accident. Within reason of course, it's not required to endanger yourself(pulling people from burning vehicles, etc), but to render what aid you safely can, even if that's just calling emergency services and setting out warning triangles.
Well just because another motorist saw or POTENTIALLy saw a person crash, DOESN'T make the potential witness a criminal for choosing to go on about his or h er business if he or she DIDN'T cause the damn crash. Common sense. Heard of it?

I could see the crash coming way before he could... too fast, underskilled, tightening corner. A more skilled rider could have pulled it off, though it would still be pushing the limits a bit recklessly. Particularly leaning his body into the corner would help, as would simply leaning the bike harder, also he could have rolled off the throttle(gently, not cutting it), and used the weight shift(compressed fork) to turn tighter.
5:30 for anyone wondering: locked front tire. Smoking (hot af).
Likely the lever was too snug on the brake piston causing minor rubbing which caused the brake fluid to heat up which made the piston tensions greater which cause more severe brake rubbing and heating of the fluid. Eventually you get a lockup

NickPlayzGamez, Im talking about common sense, not laws. Rules of the road are not as important as the fact that YOURE ON A FUCKING BIKE!!! In a crash or hit, youre the one thats gonna get hurt or even die. If you see the left lane is stopping, and theres no street lights ahead, why are they stopping??? Oh, maybe theyre letting a car cross the street!!! When youre on a bike you always gotta drive defensively, focused and alert to everything thats happening on the road.
In my country, when youre on a car you may not care about the other cars, fuck them, you just obey every rule of the road perfectly... and if you get hit, no problemo, the other car is to blame and hes gonna pay the damages (thats how it works in my country). However, you cant be that careless when you ride a freaking BIKE!!!

2. He's a novice rider who probably has chicken strips bigger than the used portion of his tire (i.e. he doesn't lean rather he turns his handlebars too much, causing them to turn into full lock, so he can't do that but he's also too scared to lean far.)

What happened at 3:33
I've seen a lot of guys on these videos that could've saved themselves from the crash when they drift off the pavement and get in the bumps if they'd just stand up and clamp on with their legs. When you go off road, get your ass off that seat. You might not always be able to save it, but I've seen a lot that could've. You have to treat it like riding a dirt bike. I was coming down a mountain in Montana, having fun in the twisties, and I carried too much speed into a hairpin curve and exited going wide. I was still leaning pretty far over and was about to get into the loose rocks on the shoulder. You'll slide right out if you don't straighten back up, and that's what I had to do. Of course standing the bike up put me in a line going straight off the road. I actually had more time on dirt bikes than street bikes when that happened, so I did what came natural. I stood up and let my legs absorb a lot of the bumps. If you're sitting down, the suspension will bounce you right off when it rebounds. I saved myself from going down though, and only had to suffer a mild amount of shit from my friends that saw it happen, lol.
That's a good video to show people that you need to wear gloves and all the protection gear.
The guy wouldn't get half of those scratches with proper gear.

Yes, but his front wheel was locked long after the brake lever was released.
Ersatz Mode mine done exact same once, was a faulty calliper, and running out of brake fluid could possibly do it too

It's not for no reason, it's lack of skill. Target fixation, no countersteering, no trail breaking, and to much speed. Almost all of these are due to lack of experience

Bro, I was going 20km/h and I hit a ditch, broke my arm (snapped one bone in half) and bent the other bone (like it caved in) and I also fractured it. I had surgery 24hs after the accident and had a metal plate along with six screws put into my arm. I'm out for 4-5 months with only limited riding after that until I get the metal plate taken out (after 9 months) to allow for growing room, that will be another 6 weeks recovery with no riding. Im gonna have a banana shaped arm forever and not full rotation of my wrist. Soo…I'm in the shits right now.- this was mountain biking
