- Manila, Philippines - Have you ever seen a Filipino food truck? We discovered a similar food truck concept in the Makati area of Manila, called Jollijeep (Jolli Jeep). These Jollijeeps service the office area, where people can go eat for breakfast and lunch during the workday.
We visited a popular Jollijeep called Sisigsarada (Sisig Sa Rada) to try some of their sisig. After eating this sisig, you’d never know it was made in a food truck. It was restaurant quality and packed with flavor. Then we went around the block to another street to discover some Pusit, which was a whole grilled squid. This squid was so tender and had a great marinade flavor. Then finally we visited a Jollijeep that offered Liempo, which is deep fried pork belly. This pork belly was so tender and fried perfectly.
All these Jollijeeps offer good quality home cooked meals at an affordable price for the people in the downtown area. I know if we lived in that area, we’d be visiting Jollijeeps everyday.
Thank you for watching and be sure to hit that like button. Also, I’d love to hear what you thought of the episode. So please feel free to leave a comment below. Have yourself a wonderful day and I’ll see you back in the next episode.

Its called Jollijeep because back in the day, these food vendors sell food inside their jeepney. They park in a street ang sell food to the working class. Jolly comes from Jollibee of course, the leading fast food chain in the country.
Thank you for the detailed background information!
I used to live in La Maison Condominium along Rada Street from 2007 until 2012 and even back then there were already Jollijeeps
That is so cool. Thanks you for commenting.

@@grifsfoodandtravel
@@Jon.ventures yes, in makati on rada street. They are outside of the 7 Eleven with the stairs.
@@grifsfoodandtravel thanks bro. Your videos making me hungry haha
Just to correct you if you don't mind. You were not in Manila but in Makati, Manila the capital of the Philipines is north of Makati. The proper term would be "Metro Manila" or "National Capital Region" if your location is one of the 16 cities surrounding Manila itself, this way your viewers will be educated and will be well informed if they decide to come here. Thank you.... 🤗
You are absolutely correct. Thank you for pointing out that distinction. Did you enjoy the video? Have you eaten at a Jolli Jeep?
How can you be a food blogger and not know that liempo/pork belly is that part of the pig where bacon comes from. So, don't say that you've never had liempo before unless you also have never had bacon.
Thanks so much for watching. Always appreciate constructive criticism.
Hi! Thank you for your video! I can't wait to try them. Just wanted to ask which street can we find the Liempo?
Thanks so much for watching. I provided Google map pins for the location of the Jolli Jeeps in the description box. Super nice people and fun experience.
