  • Panama and Cuba played an elimination game in the 2023 Little League World Series.
Covering sports in a unique way since 2018.
If you’re looking for high quality sports content, then this is the channel for you! I’ve covered Baseball (NCAA, LLWS, MLB), Football (NCAA, NFL), Softball (NCAA), Basketball (NBA, NCAA), Hockey (NHL), and much more!
The best part of my work as a UA-camr is being able to provide coverage of sports that may not receive as much attention as they should to the large audience I have built over the years. Many of the sports I cover aren't posted by any other UA-camrs, which makes this channel that much more important.
One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I've adopted two different styles, one with logos on the left and a game snapshot on the right, and the other with the logos in the middle and game snapshots representing both teams on either side.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

Soy Panameño y valoro mucho tus palabras. Los chicos vendieron cara su derrota. Fue un duelo de lanzadores.

These coaches have to reiterate that ANYTHING CLOSE on two strikes you have to swing. I don’t mind striking out swinging but it’s a lot of strikeouts looking.

It’s hard to get a read on the strike zone to be fair it’s all over the place haha (I guess that’s all the more reason to swing)

Yeah I mean I get what you’re saying. It’s tough though because they’re calling some of these pitches like 8 inches off the plate. It’s rough going down looking but it’s also tough to make contact with a ball on the edge of the opposite batter’s box. I agree it’s much better to go down swinging. But I’m also not going to tell my kids to swing at something 8 inches outside.

@@FreeWilly336 the strikeout zone definitely favors the pitchers but I mean if it didn’t then how many walks would there be ya know? Some of the calls are a little outrageous but a 12 year old pitcher is definitely gonna need more official help then a 12 year old batter I would think. But I meant more of the closer pitches, I would think it would cause you to swing more knowing the strike zone is bigger but it’s not the kids fault at all though.

@@TravonMcClendon-wi9rq Nah I know. I totally agree. I umpired little league for a few years and you definitely need to expand the zone. I’m not blaming the ump for all of it. I mean my coaches always told us anything remotely close with two strikes, you need to protect the plate. I agree even with like a ball and a half either way and maybe 3-5 inches up or down at this age. But I’ve seriously seen some pitches on the edge of the chalk in the opposite batters box be called strikes and to me that’s just way too much. I do agree they need to protect more though. I just think some of the strike calls are a little ridiculous. Honestly, as young as these kids are, they are the best of the best in the world at this age. I just think they could tighten up the zone a little bit and not have the game get out of hand. I mean imagine the championship game ending on a called strike three that’s 6-8 inches off the plate… For the record, I 100% agree with you that these kids need to stop taking close pitches with two strikes. Like I said, I just think they could tidy up the zone a little bit without negatively impacting the games too much. Plate discipline is a massive part of the game, especially as you get older and face better pitching. I’d just like to see the hitters getting rewarded for taking a pitch that far off the plate rather than seeing the pitcher be rewarded for hitting a spot 6-8 inches outside. I mean look at the pitch at 4:26… to me that’s not even remotely close.

I think it looks worse than it is.
The catcher is setup outside and has to reach back in the camera is offset, and the ball drops off late.
It's where the ball is when it crosses the front of the plate, so it was probably either a strike or very close to it.

Panama pitcher is gonna have major long term arm issues with his mechanics, needs to use his legs more to save his arm from wearing down. At this age it works but as he gets older it'll wear him down. I hope someday fixes him...
