How To Repair Automotive Electrical Wiring. This video covers several ways to repair wiring on cars and trucks. I'll show common splice procedures and also show my preferred way to splice wiring. I also show how to avoid corrosion that can occur due to an improper repair.

I have a set of matco strippers that look like the RAR that you have,I used them for about 10 years at a dealer,they worked just fine for me, also a heatshrink butt connector is/was a GM approved repair, if I had a problem with one it was my fault not the connector,I used a pair of klein type connector crimpers,one of your best vids yet sir

When soldering is required I’ll do a linesman splice and solder it and cover with heat shrink. The butt connectors with the solder inside with the heat shrink built in are pretty cool too.

I had a wire with some wires skin I took it all apart we're I could see all the sites there was three total that needed fixed I saudered them liquid electrical tape then wrapped in silicone self sealing tape then wrapped in in electrical tape I blow dried all of it to hopefully I never got to worry about it again
