I'm actually a videographer who bought a van in order to lift my film cart up to the vehicle with a ramp. BUT THIS VIDEO WAS THE MOST USEFUL VIDEO I FOUND ONLINE! THANKS! 😅
I understand this now.I was just like one of those customers who thought a shorter ramp was right..This is very confusing to my brain. But you made it more understandable.
I totally get it. We had to get a ramp for front porch for dad and the incline is RIDICULOUSLY steep. I can get him about 3/4 of the way up the ramp until I need help. Problem is the front porch is 39 inches from the top and we dont have the clearance from top to bottom to cover 39 - 40 feet unless we want him to end up in the front yard with dirt and even with a turn would have to get rid of front gate that surrounds the front section of the house.
In my state single family homes are allowed to have 2:12 ramps instead of 1:12 ramps, which some friends in another state put on their home instead of stairs, bcs they don't use wheelchairs and just don't like stairs. They love that design for safely carrying in and out of house boxes and groceries, wheeled luggage, bikes, etc. It would be helpful to show 2:12 ramps; not everyone who hates stairs needs a 35-40ft ramp in their small front yard.
The only thing is to show them the law in writing AND have them go down the ramp with walker or wheelchair. Sometimes it’s better to show people better than tell them. People are very hardheaded & suspicious of people in sales. 😏😂🙄
Suspious is correct...lm currently looking for a ramp for my father and lady tried to get talk me into building a chair lift in the garage...don't try to sell me wat l didn't ask for, and Garage?? Pls...he not going for that & the man got dementia at that but l know how he is.
