      Your weight may not be balanced over your toe edge on your line in as you go to pop. Try looking over your trailing shoulder as you go for the spin.

    Is it better to learn to ‘jump’ into the presses? Or lean into them slowly?

    • @chuck__van
      @chuck__van 4 роки тому +2

      First practice shifting your weight forward or back whilst keeping your shoulders and hips in alignment with your Snowboard. Once you are confident with that and able to hold the press for a few seconds without washing out try to either ollie or nollie into the press... You will find this more challenging but it will add style to the trick. 🤘

    Is a Yes Standard (flex 7) too stiff to learn these tricks?

    • @MW-qr8bu
      @MW-qr8bu 3 роки тому

      Nope but it'll make certain butter tricks like 360 nose rolls pretty difficult. The board he's riding on in this video is like a 3 or 4 flex rating. Really jibby.

  • @CarlosGonzalez-ug5ur
    @CarlosGonzalez-ug5ur 4 роки тому

    I know flex numbers aren't standardized, but about what flex do you think is appropriate for your size to do these tricks?

    • @chuck__van
      @chuck__van 4 роки тому +1

      Most boards out there are capable of doing these kind of tricks... The stiffer the board and the less you weigh the more the board will fight you.

    • @SnowboardRobot
      @SnowboardRobot 4 роки тому +1

      It would be easiest on a 5 or softer, but really it's a combination of the riders weight and the profile of the board as well.

  • @OfficialDivideByZer0
    @OfficialDivideByZer0 4 роки тому

    On my tail press I find that my board always slides out from under me to one side. Any tips?

    • @chuck__van
      @chuck__van 4 роки тому +1

      Your weight is probably too far out one way or the other. Bending at the waist or having your upper body out of alignment with your Snowboard may cause this.

    • @SnowboardRobot
      @SnowboardRobot 4 роки тому +1

      I would check to see that your shoulders are aligned with the board. If your shoulders are straight, that should also keep your hip in line as well.
