its not as powerful as the brushless blowers on the market but it uses a 18volt drill motor which is a permanent magnet brush type motor a RS775 chinese make motor to get at least more power i would get a larger RS785 or RS795 motor by Mabuchi, Johnson Electric , or similar brand but the blower wheel is pressed on the shaft as you need to make a special tool and try to get the wheel off to transfer it to the new motor. the new motor you have to remove the metal ring to fit the peice from the black and decker blower to it and solder the wires to it. a 16 v motor would do will get more higher speed to blow light debris.
Great for when you are doing building project in the garage. Keep the saw dust out of your way.
