Thank you got sharing this. When I was younger me and my family used to do this walk while staying near lands end regularly. Right off the beaten track! Sometimes it can transform into a sandy cove at the whim of the sea. Such lovely memories ☺️ Also that pool in the song of the sea is freeeeezing 😂😂 getting your full body in there is for the brave!!
Looked very challenging to get there but well worth it to see a beautiful cove. Enjoyed Andrew's singing. Thanks for showing something off the beaten track.
Thank you yet again for another lovely video. Nanjizal is a magic cove - we walked there from Lands End along the coast path and back. A superb stretch of the coast path, which was so quiet and peaceful once we left the emmets behind.
We went here on Monday after watching your video, we did get lost when crossing the fields, so took us a little bit longer, it then rained really heavy as we were ‘plunging’ down to the beach, but then the sun came out at it was lovely and spent sometime down there. The tide was out and the beach was absolutely stunning, So glad I found your channel.
Hi Peter, yes There must be a circular walk there somewhere - we are keen to walk from Lands End. We will be digging the walk books out soon to take a little look! Sarah :)
Awesome and ansom. Magnificent Cornwall. Smiled at your nod to Gladiator :-) lived here all my life, still finding little gems of heaven, secret hidden places. Be well, travel safe, be blessed. .Dyw genes, chons da.:-)
That is a beautiful cove, Sarah! Potato PoTAHto. HAHAHA! I want to go to Secret Cornwall! Pretty wildflowers! Lots of rocks! Beautiful reason to scramble down the rocks! All up hill....whew! Great video, you two! Take care! Kay
Love the videos! You 2 are a hoot! My old fart husband & I are planning a week or so in Cornwall next spring inspired largely by your vids. Should we meet up, we'll treat for the pints. Oh, our dogs are Bostons. Cheers,
Awesome bit of coast that , i sometimes run from porthgwarra to sennen and back , there's often loads of horses hanging around the top of the steps down to nanjizal.
Well.....the secret is out. Andrew was turning the video into a musical. Thats an idea, do a musical Cornwall hike. LOL. The rock bed was definitely and ankle twister waiting to happen for those not taking there time, glad you two did. That place was really beautiful, I would have wanted to swim in to. Great video.
Really lovely to see this cave again. We walked past it on our way from Sennen to Porthcurno in July :-) And we wondered a bit where "your" path led to. We continued uphill on the steps/path above and a bit to the left from the cave. I am so happy you went closer to get a better look. We just stopped for a moment on the path and continued our walk. You (and we) should really have taken a swim :-) Perhaps next time ;-) Thank you for sharing :-) I enjoy these videos so much!
I have walked the whole of the Cornish Coastal Path, and at Mill Bay (i.e Nanjizal) and the adjacent Pendower Coves are some of the most majestic cliffs of all.
Still happily and steadily working my way through CWT's wonderful back catalogue! The 'Song of the Sea' feature in the secret cove in Nanjizal Bay, with its reflecting pool, is magical...thank you for trekking down there and scrambling over those boulders! to show us this beautiful formation. It's now a definite 'must see' when next down that way. That's why I love Cornwall, and why it always beckons me back...if you're prepared to make the effort, it suddenly gifts these amazing surprises 😊
Hi Sarah & Andrew, the Diamond Horse is the pinnacle like rock at the western end of the bay. It doesn`t actually refer to an equine animal, but a "horse" of ground, a Cornish miners term for a pillar of non mineralised rock left as a roof support in the mine. Other examples are The Horse at Ralph`s Cupboard just west of Portreath, and the Tobban Horse west of Porthtowan, both on the North Cornwall coast path.
Secret Treasures of Cornwall Reveled, together with 'all too brief 'Musical Comedy Spot!!! 'andsome, I did see The Horse once you pointed it out, saw The Crocodile too. Another Great Ramble.
Oh my.....Too challenging for me these days, which is why I love your videos, as you take us to places I cannot reach anymore. Simply fab. When you are next up on the North Coast, go and visit the new bridge at Tintagel for us! I think that it was opened recently to the public. I won't be able to get there this year when we come at the end of September as we are in the depths of the Southern end of Cornwall this time! Near Nanjizal actually, but will have to look at your vid again if I want to see it in all its glory! J x
We have had a few people ask us to go there and film it! I think we will wait for the busy tourist season to ease a little and make a trip in September - we are really curious ourselves! Sarah :)
Great film as ever guy's and I was keen to see what you made of Nanjizal. Its over ten years since I was last there and it was good to see it again. How you saw it is how I first saw it many years ago. But did you know some years it is covered in golden sand!? A Cornish woman from near Buryan where I was staying once told me and not ever seeing it covered in sand I found it hard to believe. I was in Penwith for the eclipse and visited then, no sand. But I have been both in winter when sheets of ice form on the rocks as water oozes over them and in summer when its hot and all of those boulders you can see in your film were covered in sand. If you look at your film you can see a blue batch a few hundred yards out in the sea. This is likely where the sand is as when the winter storms strike it can suck the sand off the beach and from a sand bar. I have seen this at low water. The flat plateaux that Andrew speculated about is the site of another arch that was swept away during the winter storms. For anyone who is interested in the history of the area there is a book by a man called TJ Blight. He lived in the 1800's and lived in Penzance. The story of his life is sad but he wrote a definitive book on the flora, fauna and geography of the Lands End peninsula. His line drawings are sometimes found in antique shops in the area. He actually visited Lamorna Cove when it was a working quarry. I manage to buy a facsimile of it in Trago of all places some years back and I think it's a treasure. Thanks for sharing, your video's are great, a ray of sunshine even when it isn't! Cheers and thank you once again.
What a fabulous comment - thank you! We know that the sand is back this summer. We want to return and film but also want the sun to come out to do it justice. We will get back again! I must say I am not a fan of the dinosaur eggs - hard work! Sarah :)
Lovely Cornwall, sublime combination of natural beauty, aged and classic structures, and food. See you there in October from Adelaide, Australia. What wet weather gear should we pack?
Plenty of layers! Some October days can be warm and gentle while others could be a full storm! The beauty of English weather is the variety we get! Sarah :)
When you plunge that's exactly what I did on my way down and ended up in a gauze bush much to everyones first horror then huge entertainment 😯😂. Hence not been back since. There must be another way down that's better. X
Oh no! LOL! Well, I hope you were ok. We are thinking of exploring the path from Lands End but Andrew doesn't want to pay for parking there!! Ha! Ha! Sarah :)
For more views of Cornish caves see GB Paddling channel on UA-cam, stunning videos of the coast from a different view point. Your walks help with the long wait till we return next July.
Parking in and around the village is on the road and a little limited but possible. No actual car park to speak off. We are thinking of trying a walk from Lands End but not walked that stretch yet. A lot of people seem to walk from Sennon, where there is plenty of parking - get there early! Sarah :)
Where is all the sand? We go to Cornwall on our hols most summers , been to this beach many times.last time I was there all those Rocks were coved with beautiful white sand Winter storms strip tha sand away
So what was once a secluded special place for those adventuress themselves to explorer and find, thus keeping it quiet and special, is now gone, sacrificed to the lazy and un-adventuress in returns for views and likes. What a shallow world it has become
I watched this film with interest as I had never heard of Nanjizal Bay. The secret is out now ........and what a stunning cove. Another gem......
Real beauty! Sarah :)

Hi Laura, yes a bit more challenging but 'do'able! Just wish I had taken my swimming costume! Sarah :)
What Cornwall is all about and gladly most who visit still don't realise, beautifully presented as always.
Thank you! Sarah :)
What a gem of a place. Another lovely video.

What a contrast to Lands End! It's usually so busy - a real tourist honeytrap! What bliss to come to Nanjizal! Sarah :)
We went here on Monday after watching your video, we did get lost when crossing the fields, so took us a little bit longer, it then rained really heavy as we were ‘plunging’ down to the beach, but then the sun came out at it was lovely and spent sometime down there. Walked down here from Lands End when I was in Cornwall last week, what a place 😍
Wonderful walk, we done it from Sennon around the coast and back inland via the farm you past. Top film as ever.
Hi Peter, yes There must be a circular walk there somewhere - we are keen to walk from Lands End. We will be digging the walk books out soon to take a little look! Sarah :)
Such a cute couple. Thanks for sharing.

As always a very enjoyable video, would like to see more of these "off the beaten track" videos, thank you and keep them coming.
Hi, thank you! We were out today, filming a beautiful tranquil walk - very off the beaten track! Sarah :)
Always a pleasure
That is a beautiful cove, Sarah! Potato PoTAHto. HAHAHA! I want to go to Secret Cornwall! Pretty wildflowers! Lots of rocks! Beautiful reason to scramble down the rocks!
All up hill....whew! Great video, you two! Take care! Kay
Hi Kay! Thanks for watching! Some challenging parts - not just the singing! Sarah :)
I love the trail beside the ocean. Really beautiful
What a stunning cove; the colours in the pool were amazing. You certainly reach the parts that other walkers fail to reach!
Like a great beer! Sarah :):

Great place to run! Stunning part of Cornwall - you lucky thing! Sarah :)
@@CornishWalkingTrails no your the lucky ones , i only run there when i'm on holiday
Oh, I see! Making the most of it! Sarah
I love these moments when you use a public footpath that looks like a backyard or that is indicated by beans and rubber gloves :)
Hi Carola, Beans and runner gloves! Makes me smile! Sarah :)

*got our like👍Au👍full view 💥supported🙏*
Hi Billy! Thanks for watching! Appreciate your continued support. You are so right - Cornwall is an amazing variety of things to see! Sarah
Well done guys, love the video, I have to visit this place now.

The rock bed was definitely and ankle twister waiting to happen for those not taking there time, glad you two did. That place was really beautiful, I would have wanted to swim in to. Great video.
Well, I think we will just have to pay a return visit sometime! Sarah :)

Hi Torunn, Well worth a return visit I think - we will be going back again, just for pleasure! Sarah :)
Bet that was a tricky climb back to the top, wonderful video as usual
We took our time and it was ok - gave us plenty of excuses to catch the last glimpses! Sarah :)
An amazing rock formation. Nice Video!
Stunning 😍 we have just returned from a week in Port Isaac, also beautiful views 👌🏻😁 TFS!👍
Going there soon. Super excited :)

P.S I think the 'Blue Rubber Glove' farmer has a sense of fun, he used the second finger of his rubber gloves to point the way rather than the first.
Do you know, I noticed that too! Sarah :)

Went to St Ives with the girlfriend in July, fell in love with Cornwall. Great videos, hope to emulate your walks. Keep up the good work 👍

It is further along, Sarah, almost opposite the cove below the coastal path going back to Land's End.
Ahhh! I was there for ages trying my best to see something! Next time we are down that way, I will have a second look - thank you! Sarah :)

Loving the potato tomato singing 😆

Oh no! LOL! Well, I hope you were ok. We are thinking of exploring the path from Lands End but Andrew doesn't want to pay for parking there!! Ha! Ha! Sarah :)
We walked this route on a gorgeous sunny day. Water looked inviting but was too cold.
For more views of Cornish caves see GB Paddling channel on UA-cam, stunning videos of the coast from a different view point. Your walks help with the long wait till we return next July.
Nice one Neil.................cheque's in the post, ha ha.
Always wanted to get to this place - what is parking like at Trevescan? - great video - could you walk from Landsend ?
Parking in and around the village is on the road and a little limited but possible. No actual car park to speak off. We are thinking of trying a walk from Lands End but not walked that stretch yet. A lot of people seem to walk from Sennon, where there is plenty of parking - get there early! Sarah :)
Yes you can, but some parts of the path are narrow with a steep drop off to the sea.
Thank you, what a tip!
Who's the book author as I cant find it!
Nice people.
Where is all the sand? We go to Cornwall on our hols most summers , been to this beach many times.last time I was there all those Rocks were coved with beautiful white sand
