Lovely song. A favorite sang at our church when I was younger. i haven't heard it in years . Growing up we listened to the Lennon Sisters on TV as we sat around with family enjoying so many great songs.
This is absolutely beautiful the way they sing it! At First Baptist Church in Waxahachie, Texas our adult choir sang this in the Christmas pageants in the mid-80’s for the Lord’s Supper. I always loved it and this brings back such great memories.
Our high school choir had a tradition to sing this song at the end of all concerts (Rigby, Idaho) where they would invite up all former choir members, so powerful!
Beautifully sung... One of my favorites. Thanks for putting details of the song, I've been searching for the music... do you have a copy to share? Thanks
Repetition helps make the message resonate. The simplicity only adds to the beauty of 1980’s classic. With the addition of stunning harmonies, this rendition by The Lennon Sisters is sure to bless multitudes more as time goes by. Your comments organboi remind me of my first night out in London England on vacation. The first pub I walked into was in Leicester Square. A couple of guys engaged in conversation with me. They weren’t from London but were on holiday from Norway. Friendly, yet clearly very alpha males. Vikings in their family tree was of no surprise. As we spoke of life in our own countries and compared what we were experiencing in London, their happiness left their faces, replaced with their war faced. I hadn’t noticed but the song had changed on the jukebox. It was now playing “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina” by Madonna. I asked “What’s wrong?”. The bigger of the two bodybuilding Norwegian rugby players replied, “Their playing Madonna. That music is gay.” They came across as so offended that such music would be played in their presence. I tried to get us back to where we were in conversation, to distract from the music that was interfering with the joy of being on vacation. As they told me more of their countries royal history, and we laughed together about the USA being too young to have any history yet, I noticed a different song came on the jukebox. I looked at my pint glass and looked at the exit. Thinking finish your lager and get out now. If these Nordic alphas were upset hearing the gayness of a Madonna song, things may get violently worse now. I was in a panic. The song got to the chorus and the two men with arms around each others necks and smiles from ear to ear belted out in unison, “.. it was an ittsie bittsie teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini that she wore for the first time today…”. A song that to my ears was certainly less masculine than the Madonna song. Who cares about music theory when you hear a song that blesses your soul. Whether it be about a room where people gather that’s filled with hope and love or if it’s having a giggle about a girls oddly designed bikini? Kick back. Relax. Enjoy the goodness hearing g a song brings. Or spend your life tearing things apart to see how they work. Gary - BTEC in arts, music, entertainment

I Love these sisters. They put GOD first then Family then Ministry. Brought up with the old values. Wonderful women of GOD.

What happened to the fourth one?
Was John Lennon related to The Lennon Sisters?
so sad to see with age how much their heads shake when they sing..hard to watch
A 45 second melody and nothing more, turned into a song through repetition and inane modulation. And the "composer" rakes in the royalty money.

Horrific unnecessary modulation. Just to make the mediocre incomplete song longer.
Where’s the 4th sister?
