I totally agree about the Chadwick headsculpt. It looks very accurate to me.

Thanks for speaking on the suit material and its durability. I love Spec Ops Punisher's suit material because it allows for good articulation and has been really durable, so it's great to see that kind of material return again. They should honestly keep using it for more releases.
And I'm with you on the headsculpt looking good. I totally see Chadwick, it doesn't deserve the bashing people are giving it

My opinion of this figure , for what it's worth .
Im a life long collector of figures.
The figure is beautifully done. I did not like the back stitching. For the money they charge , that's gotta be done right . The head sculpts are brilliant . I think Tchalla should have his own face , not the actors . A resemblance is fine though . This unmasked head is perfect , and very well done.

This IS the second "nanotech" suit therefore making the big head even worse lol overall he's just a bit to thick just like 99 percent of the other mezcos

Hmm, that T'Challa head sculpt almost looks more like a young T'Chaka! I can see a customizer taking this head and making a custom head for that ML T'Chaka Black Panther figure.

Lovely review. I don't like the fact that the necklace is sitting so high above the shoulder area. I wish it was lower to where it slightly rests on his body. That's my only real gripe about this figure
The Mezco action figures are really solid, and don't feel cheap.

I finally have it in hand and I must say that the unmasked head is pretty good. When you compare it to the marvel legends head, Hasbro has a more accurate likeness. The Mezco does resemble Chadwick in the right light from certain angles though. Overall it’s a great piece. Solid review

I think you're right about this and Mafex being the best comparison. The Legends M'Baku wave vibranium suit is really good in terms of poseability, but limited in terms of accessories. Good head sculpt. The SH fig just has a weird buck. abs are too skinny. Great hand selection though. the legs on it scuff up which is annoying. So I'm pumped for the Mafex too, but will be happy to have this one on the shelf. Black Panther is just the coolest. I hope Mezco uses this suit and maybe does a Killmonger. Seems like something they would consider.
I think the head looks just like Chadwick , I don't know why people say it doesn't either . The only thing they got wrong is the hair line they didn't put his pointy peak in the middle of the forehead line
I totally agree bro, the head sculpt is a fine representation of King T Challa character, if not an exact impressionist recreation of Chadwick. And although I totally love my Figuarts Infinity War Black Panther, I must have this Mezco version just for GP😉👊🏾🤓🤓🤓🤓✨
I'd love to see Mezco make Rorschach. I've heard good things about the Play Arts Kai figure, but I feel Mezco would do fantastic on Rorschach.

How dies if fit with Iron Man and Classic Cap as a Comic Black Panther??
I don't know if it's only me or there's other people have the same thoughts, but no one notice the GAP between the upper shoulder and lower shoulder part? They attach the necklace with the upper shoulder and the neck section, this makes that necklace looks like floating-----especially if you raise it's head, and that also cause the discontinuity of the shoulder---above the necklace the shoulder looks thicker/wider and below that it's not. That floating necklace keeps making me think of the frill-necked lizard.
Nice review and I agree ,the head is little bit big same with tactical suit and other Mezco figure. Aesthetically if you make the head smaller (not too small) it makes an impression that a figure is proportionally taller and idk why Mezco is funned of bigger heads. The one that bothers me is the silver lining, it was like icing on a chocolate cake to me, its very noticeable, maybe if they darkened those linings a bit it would be much better imo. But still great figure and reviewer.

Great video! I know people probably are sick of Black Panther figures but I wish Hasbro in some way would go back and revisit that ML Civil War Black Panther costume. That figure or buck was almost perfect if Hasbro would have just incorporated butterfly joints and made his arms where they could rest more naturally straight down to the sides of his body.

Personally I like the SHF IW BP as looks better IMO & you can get it now for approx. $30 cheaper than this one. Mafex release also is lower cost if purchasing direct from a Japan e-tailer. No lenses open head is disappointing for the higher $80 price point too. The unmasked head is more like ML quality (as likeness to CB is missing) IMO. Still a good looking masked BP & encouraging to see Mezco got the scale actually correct on this guy (which allows for use in a non-Mezco 1:12 scale display) & hopefully carries over to the upcoming Hela fig. release. Thanks for the review.
@schwiggity Opinion's vary....If biased towards Mezco then you'll likely prefer this BP IMO. If independent, then the SHF is the best looking 1:12 scale BP issued to date IMO & Mafex BP may be better but since not yet issued, no basis to comment on that one yet. The suit on this one may be more movie accurate but the SHF looks more interesting & dynamic IMO. The spear accessory on the Mezco is cool but the shield isn't all that great IMO.
VNISHPT 70 The Mafex will be the best of the bunch. This Mezco just looks off to me. The SHF shad crappy leg/hip movement and it’s too bulky.
@@Zapdos97 Yeah I hope you're right re: the Mafex as got that one on preorder. I like the SHF too but it's overpriced for what you get IMO. If the SHF keeps coming down & gets to around $50 with the rock effects I'll pick it up & may pass on the Mafex (as I don't really have a big need for an unmasked head with how I plan to display) otherwise will get the Mafex as the prototype looks to be the best BP all around. I'd place the Mezco as 3rd from the top on the list & maybe worth around $40 IMO.
It's a movie costume but somehow it kinda look cartoonish,comic like?

Not my thing man, mafex definitely nailed this figure way better in my opinion, proportions are just way too off, this body is more similar to the civil war suit and from any angle other than head on it doesn't look like Chadwick Bozeman. Im face is too big I guess, still don't blame anyone for liking it the texture on the suit is beautiful and the detail is nice, just inaccurate
The first second I saw the figure I knew the head is too big. Proportions on the figure are horrible. You sound like you really want to like the figure and you are overlooking all the flaws that it has. The stitching on the back is terrible.
I think the facial hair is a little too faded.
It looks absolutely nothing like Chadwick. Compare it to the Marvel Legends Vibranium head. He just looks like a generic black man.

Craig O neill While there are companies who produce higher quality Marvel figures, none of them come close to Marvel Legends in terms of character selection. They have also consistently gotten better. You are entitled to have your personal preference but when it comes to the unmasked head for this specific character ML has the best one by far

That stitching is in fact...horrible lol and uneven. For over $100 it should be way better. Hard pass.
