Richard Hammond interviewing Richard Charlesworth, ex Head of Royal and VIP Relations for Bentley Motors up until around 2014. Richard knew every detail there was to know about the brands values, especially the older Bentley’s that he helped VW to embrace at a time when the future was Continental GT.
they already do in a way bentley bugatti and volkswagen(and audi) are all part of the volkswagen group considering all that and the fact the interior of the current chiron is quite high on simple luxury, i do not see how ever why they would ever bring out a chiron with a volkswagen badge. look at what happened with the volkswagen phaeton
Its awesome how the bugatti chiron as we now it nowadays took form in many variants as concept itself but always keeping it essence through vw group with the ceo ferdinand k. P. (rip) he was the mind behind the project influenced by other projects in the late 80's (Audi avus, audi rosemeyer and this bentley are the early attempts to create the bugatti veyron and now the evo chiron 🙂
it doesnt work this way. this particular W16 or the one that can be found in the Veyron is more of a combination of 2 VR8 engines, not V8 engines. however it is possible to cojoin 2 W12 engines. but the output torque would be too damn high for any existing gearbox (2500-3000) so techically w24 would be a useles piece of overengineering
and here you have it, the original veyron
No the original Veyron is Audi Rosemeyer
Look at the design language! It is an original veyron
Surely the original is the VW Syncro of 1997

And In the end, the engine went in the Veyron. I wonder if Bentley will ever make an actual hypercar....

It's My dream ...
what a testbed!
i wonder if there would be like anything good to say for the idea to make a w24 out of2 of the v12 engines found in the lamborghini aventador.

تحفه مميزه .
Isn't it a W12?
W16 as you can see 0:35
front looks great the rest not so much, the veyron ended up being a much better car overall
Hammond looks like a baby here
As long as Bentley is in the same motoring group as lambo and bugatti won't have a midengine supercar
This was way back in 1997/8...
No, 1999
so dumb of bentley to leave this behind
i dont think this car may work good as it looks very different from its siblings
Ello Ello ello
